A must visit restaurant whenever in Montpellier. The "formule" with the secret sauce tastes as amazing as ever. Friendly and relaxed staff will take care of you the minute you arrive to make sure you will feast on your exceptionnel meat. A tip: don't leave without trying the decadent profiteroles au chocolat. Overall a very very good culinary experience.

The queues outside and the full tables inside are enough to tell you that this restaurant is clearly a local favourite. The steak was so soft and tasty - and lots of it too. Even the table wine was good. The small number on the bill was the icing on the cake.

Most of the reviews published before mine reflect what this restaurant is about. - It is popular - It is centrical (close to the Comedie) - It is simple. Steak (entrecote) frites, with a simple salad. - It is quick, almost an in n out. - Waitresses are not especially pleasant. If you like to be pampered, don't come here.... More

The food is good and the service is correct. But it is pretty much just meat, with their special sauce and french fires (that are good). It's not really out of this world. There are other really excellent meat restaurants in Montpellier who offer genuine aged meat from renowned regions and races. And they prepare the meat in a way... More

We eat here twice while we were in Montpellier. All four of us were very happy with the food. The menu is simple but the way it is presented and tastes is brilliant. When I first arrived I thought the place would be very expensive because it looked so elegant and well laid out. It was great value.

What a disappointment. After hearing and reading rave reviews, we stood in line for over half an hour outside and another 15 inside. The bread was stale. Lettuce salad with two walnut halves was swimming in vinegar with a little oil. "Steak" was well-done rather than medium, less than a centimeter thick, sliced into tiny pieces and lying in a... This restaurant knows how to give people what they want as it is full to the rafters every night, usually with a queue outside so best to go as soon as it opens around 7pm. The choice is salad of lettuce and walnuts followed by thinly sliced steak, cooked as you request with copious straw chips and house wine. You... More

The unique menu remained unchanged since the beginning. This formula is a decked slice of sirloin of 170 grams accompanied by french fries and its famous sauce. His son Henry, opened a restaurant in Toulouse in 1962, in Bordeaux in 1966, in Nantes in 1980, in Montpellier in 1990, and finally, in Lyon in 1999. These restaurants are characterized by scots and black mural, a lemon yellow topping and hostesses dressed with yellow apron and black blouse. The exterior is beautified by yellow and black blinds vertical stripes for the best effect.
