This simple hotel is tasteful with an exceptional restaurant attached. Close to shopping, sights and basilica a perfect place to stay in the city.

We choose the most cost efficient set menu at EUR 19.90. The meal of salmon salad, roasted pork fillet and strawberry tiramisu with a bottle of local chateau du Donjon from Minervois was superb ! The service was attentive and thoughtful !

We stayed here at the hotel upstairs. My wife had a steak and I had a menu with appetizer of octopus and Spanish ham on toast, main dish casoulet, and pineapple cake for dessert. The food was artfully presented and delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. The interior of the restaurant is attractive. I would eat here again.

A fairly limited overall menu, what they focus on is superb. The crepes are stunning and the service friendly. For anyone with a sweet tooth this is a must, a real treat gastronomically and visually.

Great food, great service and amazing value. I had the €43 menu (6 courses) my wife had the €33 (5). We had a great bottle of local red and an interesting aperitif. Best meal I have had in a long time.

small party of us were well received in a busy restaurant in the centre of the old city walls. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Good menu choices. One of the party is vegetarian and that can pose problems in France - not here. Not only was she well looked after, we all were. Local/house wine was excellent too.

There are so many restaurants/cafes in the Citadel that are just serving up what the day-trip tourist wants that it was a joy to find this fantastic restaurant tucked away in a tiny narrow lane of the Rue du Plo. This was really good food, served by lovely staff. Go for the five course menu (43 euros) and spend the... More

Pleasant setting away from the bustle of much of Carcassonne. The garden is delightful, backing on to the Basilica. The maitre d" does tend to take control of the timing but orchestrates the often young and inexperienced waiters to good effect. The 19euro set menu that we had was exceptional. Beautifully presented and flavoursome. The five fish in Salmon sauce... More

Though Le Cite is very commercial..locals appear to be the main people eating at this restaurant..wonderful local fare..not expensive..good wines by the glass. As a solo traveller they were very accomodating and helpful
