Our hotel suggested this restaurant to us along with a few others and as we walked around town we checked them out. I immediately knew we would eat there when we walked through the courtyard garden to the main restaurant area. It is such a unique setting in an old stables. The food turned out to be just as great... More

The front entrance to the restaurant is very deceptive. Entry is through a hallway into a great courtyard terrace that I will come back enjoy in nicer weather. The restaurant itself is located at the back of the terrace in converted stables with the stalls still intact and very much part of the decor. Four of us were here for... More

This place looked good and appeared to be quite popular. staff were friendly and the overall ambience was good. The food was a big disappointment , the starter soup was tepid. The mains, steak was tough and stringy, the chicken was under cooked. The deserts were the only enjoyable dishes.

Seriously disappointing service, food was greasy and meat inedible. Wine over priced. And don't even try offering your views or complaints; they'll dismiss you with offering a free coffee. A coffee would not compensate for the disgusting food and cold, ignorant service we received. Never going back

Hello Miss, Sir, We acknowledge your comments and admit you do not fully understand what happened to you. Perhaps you do not like traditional butter cooking? The meat comes from one of the best houses in Carcassonne and is very popular. For the wines there is for all budgets and you do not discover the prices during the addition, you... More

I wrote an enthusiastic review a year ago, but we were disappointed on our recent lunch visit so I have to revise my opinion. The restaurant has to work harder in a competitive city for restaurants. We visited on a Saturday, and the restaurant was displaying its "Menu du Marche" sign outside. But once seated at the table we found... More

Do not go to this restaurant! I was genuinely shocked by the poor quality of meat- it was greasy, fatty, tasted of an unwashed griddle, dry chips and no sauce. The dessert arrived 40 minutes after ordering it and when it came it tasted like the meat fat from the disgusting steak which preceded it. Upon offering polite feedback, we... More

I was having a fabulous trip to Carcassone, a single, female traveller enjoying some 'me-time'. Dining at this restaurant put a complete downer on my holiday. The moment I entered, the waitress seemed shocked and annoyed that I was a 'table for one', then when I declined any wine, she snatched the wine glass away from my table! She became... More

We discounted the poor review but have a lit if sympathy with it. Yes, the food was good, although overpriced compared with other restaurants. Yes, it's a lovely setting, but the flashing lights and over loud music were intrusive. The main problem was the staff. From the constantly gum chewing lady who greeted us to the vague chap who didn't... More

Great outdoor setting, service, music and food. Hosts were very friendly. A hidden courtyard and an amazing original stable block that has been turned into a indoor restaurant.
