I went to this restaurant that I thought was cute and nice atmosphere , food looked good, most of the waiters are old people and I thought thats wonderful, but they take too long to attend us, looks like our waiter didn't speak English and was kind of afraid to speak to us, then finally got our order, but a... Had a late lunch here. Place had a nice atmosphere, food was pretty good and our waiter, but also the guy serving the outside area, was quick, friendly and in for a joke, even in English :-), which in our short experience is a bit of exception in this city.

A decent place close to the Louvre. The prices were reasonable and the generic Cotes Du Rhone they served by the cl was fantastic. Very very good foie gras that was only slightly hampered by the toast it was served with. I prefer a little crunchier and maybe more flavorful accompaniment for foie gras and this toast was just toast.... More

We went there as it was close to hotel and a reasonable price. My meal of veal was tasty while the chicken 2 of the group had was dry as were the chips. Hamburger was tasty. If you have time to look further do so. Cost was 54 euro

We needed a quick bite to eat on the way to the Lourve and chose this place on a whim. We were so glad we did! We were able to dine outdoors in beautiful weather. Our waiter was quick and always had a smile on his face. My friend and I shared a plate of pate, escargot, and French onion... More

Friendly and efficent staff, and the cream on my coffee viennois was piled so high it almost tipped over. Has everything you'd expect from a Paris cafe

This Cafe is perfect for a coffee date with a friend or even by yourself. The prices are appropriate for a student's budget. The location is great, it's located right across from the Metro Station "Pont Neuf". If the weather is nice when siting outside you can enjoy the view of the Seine river, and loose yourself in that Parisian... More

The title says it all. Waiter seemed quite animated with his colleagues, but customers were more of a burden to him! We didn't leave a tip!!

We chose this cafe for dinner after day if walking through Paris. We stumbled upon the lovely patio and mad your choice over other numerous restaurant nearby. Service was average and food was good. I got a fish and shrimp salad that came with a mountain of smoked salmon and herring! It was good but a ton of fish :)... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
