I travel to Paris 8-12 times a year for work and always make it a point to have dinner at Assanabel, at least once, sometimes twice if my schedule permits. I would never have found it if a local colleague hadn't recommended it -- it's a beautiful oasis in a peaceful residential area, definitely worth the trip. I love the... More

This restaurant was a great surprise. We had lunch there my mother and I and we were amazed by the decoration of the place, the politeness of the staff and the quality of the food. It's very rare to find a place to eat in Paris were people are so kind! The prices are more than correct.

What can I say? They opened the restaurant for us before dinner service and gave us a wonderful meal with a smile. The chicken and lamb were succulent and the mezze perfect!

Visited this "restaurant" earlier with friends and were looking for a nice meal to have. As we got in, the waiter at the counter gave us the menu and we were there for a few minutes deciding what to get. The waiter started to be rude and told us that we were taking too long to decide. Although seeing the... More

Lebanese is our favourite cuisine. We stumbled upon this place by random on a taxi ride. Good service. Good honest lebanese food. Can't complain whatsoever. Falafel were superb. Good choice. 100% recommended. We are from. London and dubai and so we know good lebanese food.

I must say I got it completely wrong, I had carefully planned our trip to Paris and had picked the Assanabel but beware, there are 2 Assanabel, this one is in Rue d'Alesia, the other one that gets much better reviews is in Paris 10. I therefore had quite high expectations and therefore was very very disappointed to start with... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
