From its location, directly across from Notre Dame Cathedral, you would expect Cafe Panis to be a tourist trap but we were pleasantly surprised. Our first visit was to meet friends for drinks, which were served with fresh cheese puffs. We loved the old world charm and comfortable atmosphere so we decided to go back for dinner another night. The... More

This place was absolutely fantastic. The service was exceptional, location was prime and the food was fabulous. We got a delicious open-faced ham sandwich with goat cheese on a brown bread and it was delicious! Do not miss this fabulous restaurant.

Get the cheeseburger or the avocado burger (both?) and you can't go wrong! Was absolutely amazing and washed down with their 'sassy' cider, great spot, lovely staff, highly recommend it and it isn't extortionately priced like you might expect from a restaurant next to Notre Dame

Very busy and a little cramped, but service was quick and friendly. There were three of us and the bill came in within 60 euros for a full meal (we all had the Croque Madame) and a soft drink. I enjoyed my meal and boy was there plenty of it! I'd definitely go again.

Lots of staff. Great location. Croque Madame little overlooked but Caesar salad delicious! Banging doors and toilets bit disappointing.

Had a nice lunch in front of Notre Dame. Service was efficient. Lot of choices on the menu with reasonable price for the location.

Came here on the first night of our weekend in Paris to celebrate our anniversary. We visited here when we were last in Paris and had an enjoyable meal so decided to come here again. It was even better this time round. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel at home by our lovely waiter (I... More

We were delighted to find this venue for lunch. On a cold day the red door curtains opened on to a very warm, quaint venue. The staff were attentive and our meals arrived very quickly considering the venue was full of lunchtime workers. The Pariseen Quiche was delicious. Very substantial portions. There was a full range of teas we had not... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
