My partner and I were shopping in the area and we're advised to check out cafe de musees by a local shop owner. He had great complements for the chef which was more than enough to get us in the door. We were not disappointed! We do not speak great French and we were lucky enough that our server spoke... More

As the name will tell you, Cafe des Musées is very close to many museums. Interior very classic with small tables. Went there twice (!!) on my Paris holiday. First day i had the lunch menu 3 course lunch under 20 € and second day choose my lunch from the list. Both times food was excellent and carefully presented. And... More

We decided to get an off hours meal to get out of the rain. It must have been a good idea, because a lot of other people had the same thought! They were out of the soup of the day, but I had a big salad with that included some delicious beets, and my husband had a chicken/vegetable/rice meal with... More

We loved our dinner here. We were greeted at the door by the owner and his son. They had visited our area if the states three times, so we had a nice chat about the Pacific Northwest. Very friendly folks. Our waiter was really funny. Really, really funny. Unique character, can't remember his name though. The only downside was that... More

Our first night in Paris and we were tired and hungry. This was a short walk from our hotel. We arrived before they opened for dinner but were happily greeted and seated and offered wine. Dinner was delicious! The place was completely full by the time we left. If there weren't so many choices in the Marais neighborhood to try... More

The restaurant was recommended to us by a local whose parents often frequented the restaurant because of the quality and service. The staff very kindly let us make a late booking and they managed to squeeze us in before their busy time . We had excellent service and the food was indeed very tasty and fresh.

I discovered by chance this restaurant and highly recommend it. People are very nice in it and the food is amazing! I ate for the first time since my childhood escargots (bouchees escargots) and it was delicious. The meat i had after was one of the best i could it in france. This restaurant is a perfect mix between ambiance/food... More

Typical french cuisine. Wine is a bit expensive. Worth visiting if you are in the Marais neighborhood.

Everything we wanted to experience in Paris food wise. Excellent. Service was very professional and accommodating. We liked it enough to return twice.

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
