A stones through from the Luxembourg gardens this is a bar you stumble upon by accident then remember. It is a student bar as is always packed until happy hour finishes. Cheap beer and lots of interesting, random pics and objects all over the bar. Try it

Good bar with decent music and a good selection of beers (didn't try the cocktails here). Better get here early for happy hours though as it can get very crowded quickly and you'll need to push a bit to order your drinks.

Bad music and pretension, that is, the pub is good only for teenagers. The place and the street are nice, yet there's no value there.

Happy hour here is a must, not on the usual Paris list of places to go, but it's not far from Notre Dame. French and Belgium beers on tap, lively atmosphere and music, satirical magazine covers on the walls and friendly helpful staff. Barman gave us a recommendation for dinner, Polidor, brilliant place to eat just down the road. I'll... More

best student bar in paris, though you can't take everyone here (I tried with two friends of mine, both Parisians and a little too bcbg - didn't go over well). very student-y scene, cheap beer, forget the cocktails. lots of paraphernalia on the walls, decorations courtesy of customers as well. if you're in the area late at night good place... - Yet another bar in Paris - Super Crowded if you go after 11pm - Close to Pantheon - Cocktails are normal clichéd but expensive, minmum 7 Eur - Beer and juice is however cheap at 2 eur something - grab the huge table at the back if u r large group.. best spot in the bar

Great place to go if you like staff with attitude problems and food that really should be served out of a trailer. Very disappointed.

When you arrive at 'Le Pantalon' you wonder what's that bar, not very attractive from the outside, and in a small street with almost nothing but this bar. Once you enter, the decor is made by the Sorbonne students and you can feel it. The best are the toilets! Haha, and if you're a beer lover, the best Belgian beers... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
