Our chenin house wine was fabulous. My steak tartare was great. Another meal, a steak requested medium was overdone. Language difference? Perhaps. We were not able to solve it. I would go again for ambience and other selections.

The only good things about this restaurant are the location (Opèra) and the french fries. The internal design is kind of weird, I personally didn't like it but other people might. Staff was rude and not very professional. Food quality could be much better as well as the cooking. The prices aren't that high considering the area but I consider... More

Please avoid at all costs of you really want breakfast, so many better options a short jaunt away. We both ordered the larger breakfast (can't recall the name) and they served us Minute Maid juice, a split baguette, a microwaved omelet, a piece of cold lunch meat ham, a whole peach and a coffee that was not good. Altogether bleh.... More

We wanted a bite to eat - the quarter chicken with mashed potatoes was tasty as was the ceasar salad with chicken (not like what we get at home - with tomatoes, about 6 whole anchovies on top, bone in chicken). Service is OK and is fast.

The service in this restaurant was very good and the presentation of the food was well done. All the dishes we had: snails, duck, salmon and a burger were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The restaurant is popular and this may be because of its location opposite Opera. There are menus available in many languages so even if you... More

It's a typical inexpensive restaurant chain. Some items on the menu are good a some isn't, but if you don't like something it's no problem to send it back and get something else. It's not a star restaurant, but it won't cost you much either. Remember, it's a French restaurant and not an American restaurant, so don't expect everything to... More

The irresistibly cosy and romantic chez Clément Opéra, located between the Garnier Opera House and the Olympia theatre, plunges you into the atmosphere of a genuine 18th century bourgeois home. You will immediately be won over by the charm of the dining rooms witch are numerous but all are different.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
