There wasn't a lot of vegetarian choices on the menu, so we asked if it was possible to replace the chicken with veggies/tofu and they gladly did. The staff was very friendly, our knowledge of French is very limited so ordering was kind of all over the place. Nevertheless we got all the food we ordered. I truly want to... More

An other of the same same but different restaurants in the area. It offers an average menu and average portions and prices to go with them. The quality of the food is again average and does not recall the tastes , the colors and the smells of real Thai food.

In the middle of the 13th arrondissement in Paris, this tiny place has different dishes. Although it is written Thai restaurant, I didn't see few typical Thai specialities like green curry. It is ok for a time to time, nothing mind blowing.

Let me start of by saying we are thai. We had a family vocation in paris, and our parents was craving thai food (this is our 2nd thai place in 2 days span) The service is nice, the owner is super friendly. But the food was so so. Some of the dishes are not that authentic and the portion is... More

this restaurant is still a good Asian restaurant in Paris, has good taste and reasonable price. I liked here very much until visiting again thailand in 2015.it was my second trip there. Of course I shouldn't compare with real fresh seafoods nor fresh herbs nor fruits in Thailand. I feel this restaurant use too much monosodium glutamate.I know it is... More

It's a good place to go for a simple family dinner. It's tasty and relatively fast served. If you use spicy food (I mean from Asia) don't hesitate to ask for "épicé" if not it'll be adapted to French palate. Anyway there is chilly on the table. We will make it our "cantine" 😊.

After a week in France eating the lovely French food, a break for a familiar taste was essential. Thai Vien was recommended by a Thai friend who lived in Paris for a year. Whether you are brave foreigners who want to try the spicy Northeastern Thai food or Thais missing home, this restaurant will not disappoint. Go for somtum especially... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighbourhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
