I've eaten dinner here numerous times over the years, and this last meal was as good as its ever been. It's a very busy place, you must have a reservation to get a table, even though it looks casual. They have an awesome wine list, huge, with many very reasonable and unusual choices. The food was awesome. Great quality simple... More

Very very good food. Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and it was a great choice. Friendly and welcoming. Bread was fresh. We started with rabbit rillett Paris Brest style and the pate en croute. Very flavoursome and tasty. I must admit that homemade organic white ham was AMAZING. Very tender slices and loads of it. We had a bottle of... More

I took several work mates here. The tables are all close together and the intimate atmosphere gives a buzzy feel. The food is really good. Order the boeuf Bourgignon and be prepared to waddle home. Definitely don't order a starter. It's a very big portion , delicious too. Everyone enjoyed their food. Go here , you won't regret it

This little place was packed and we were fortunate they had a table for us without a reservation. It appears this is a spot for the locals to dine. The chef has some great personal creations on the menu. For entrees my wife had razor clams with tomatoes in a white wine sauce seasoned well and enough clams to almost... More

Cosy atmosphere, good service, delicious food! I had the slow cooked Chapon and my husband had the sea bass with risotto. We were both happy with our meals. All other people in the restaurant were French, so obviously a local gem!

Bistro food cooked and served well. The wine list is ok, not too pricey, with a reasonable range. Good local brasserie.

We ate here this weekend by chance having checked out the menus in a number of restaurants in the area and oh how happy were we with our choice. The food was delicious, the wine perfect and the service warm and inviting. We will definitely return the next time we're in Paris and have already recommended the restaurant to friends... More

Lunch Saturday, the resto full of parisiens. All happy. That's a great sign, because when local residents patronize a place, you know they think it's both good and good value. Staff smiling and welcoming, the food excellent. Bisque d'homard, very tasty, then boudin noir, tres Bon. Good food, Good wine, good service, reasonable prices, all within a stones through of... This is a busy place that is very much alive! The staff were friendly and cheerful , providing great service. The food was terrific! My wife had the best Beef Bourguignon ever and my Canard was tender and juicy. Wine selection was not overly extensive but good never-the -less.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
