We ended up eating in this restaurant when we got lost and couldn't find the place we were due to eat in. What a find! The place is very special, the waiter was very friendly and the food was delicious and well priced. Well worth a visit.

Good location with an Art Deco atmosphere, but may be because we went sort of early for dinner, service was not satisfactory. Food quite good. Worth a try..

This restaurant had a more elaborate interior design. I appreciated the classical design motif, it was different from the more modern restaurants we patronized in Paris, which also pleased us in their own way. The food here is good, not great. The service leaves something to be desired. Our waiter very obviously wanted to pad the bill with as many... More

The food here is very good and the service is top notch. The room is a truly magnificent example of a Belle Epoch restaurant. It almost became a supermarket in the 1960's and be very glad it didn't. I would be happy to eat there again when in Paris.

The decor is amazing, although lights are very bright. Food was not Great: fish very dry and meat not cooked enough. Staff was friendly but service could be better: we asked for a bottle of water 3 times and finally got it after desert.

A classic French Bistro with a distinctive 1900's atmosphere Food is decent - not bad, not memorable - menu is complete Service is only passable you won't get "hurt" there but there are many better choices in the area

Me and my wife had a great experience at this restaurant. Very charming at an old 1900's atmosphere. We had soups (onion and pumpkin) as appetizers, followed by great meats (Veal and sirloin) and then a good desert made of ice cream and chocolate dressing. Wine menu is also amazing. Great attention from the waiters. Stays right in the heart... More

Was invited by a French colleague for businessdiner. Nice mix of locals, quite a lot of tourists also. Nice environment but table was much to small to sit comfortably. I had the Magret de canard which was not a succes. Almost no taste in the sauce and dry meat. My colleague had a choucroute which looked much better... Nice choice... More

Our company of four visited Vagenende Brasserie for a dinner. We came at 7pm without making a preliminary reservation, but were lucky to get a table. 3 of us had chateaubriand, 1 had calf liver. A bottle of Monte Cristo from Saint-Emillion was a good match. For dessert we had profiteroles and pear poached in red wine. Both, the mains... More

We were staying in the area and had a little wander to check things out and this place looking like a traditional place. Service was good, attentive and at a nice pace. Atmosphere is lively and upbeat with all age groups and mostly French customers giving it a good buzz. Food was lovely, we had escargot for the first time... More

Resolutely breathtaking, this mythical institution of Saint-Germain des Prés has managed to keep the charming atmosphere of the olden days where one can appreciate the detail oriented and delicate service. The “Art Nouveau” décor style has been brilliantly restored in July 2011, with a refined front and a modernised terrace. In 1983, under the incentive of André Malraux, the Brasserie is listed as part of the Historical Monuments of Paris. This has guarantied the preservation of the legendary restaurant, under the watchful eyes of its present owners, Monique and Marie Egurreguy. The traditional and varied menu offers to discover every day and according to the seasons a new dish amongst the classics of the Brasserie cuisine: Home-made duck foie gras, leg of lamb from Limousin “à la voiture”, souffléed pike quenelles, or for the desserts brioche “pain perdu” style, home-made rum baba…
