Although this was recommended by our hotel, we were profoundly disappointed. The servers did not speak English well enough. My beef was undercooked although the potatoes and green beans were nicely prepared. My wife’s chicken was uninspired and somewhat insipid rather than tasteful. The wine...More

We noticed this restaurant is always busy and merry so we decided to give it a try. We were lucky to have the 1st floor all by ourselves- just me and my husband. While a big group was dining upstairs. Our hostess was polite and...More

This is one of Paris's older restaurants, just off the Grands Boulevards and opposite the Opéra Comique. (Métro : Richelieu-Drouot). It was a long time since I was last there and was happy to find that nothing had changed. We were surprised to find the...More

A large work dinner. Food was OK given the numbers being catered for, but I thought a bit steep. Service quite slow, albeit well organised. I had foie gras (no complaints - the standard delicious thing) and then duck breast (only because the menu we...More

Very good upscale Parisian restaurant. Delicious menu choices we had Terrine of salmon for starters; main entrée of burgundy beef stew (my selection) and cod fish in butter cream sauce (my wife’s selection), cheese (fromage) and pastry (patisserie du jour). Approximate price for starters is...More

Our third night in Paris and decided to use TripAdvisor to find a restaurant after visiting a restaurant we knew from a previous visit the first night and the bistro nearest our hotel the second night. Glad we made the effort. An excellent evening -...More

Food was good. Menu was typical, with a good choice of different dishes. The price is also reasonable compared to the quality of the food. One more: the menu is also in English, but the staff does not speak English well.

cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
