Located very close to our hotel, it was cold and raining so in we went. Very crowded with a really nice bunch of people. The Osso Bucco was wonderful. Wine list was more than adequate. Really enjoyed the evening.

My wife and I decided to have an early dinner and chose a local bistro near our hotel. We arrived before 19:00 in order to select the prix fixe menu, which was a great value. I chose the homemade pate for starter, ox cheek for main, and the saint marcellin cheese for desert. My wife selected the butternut squash purée... More

In a tiny street with many interesting small restaurants we chose this hotel because of its tripadvisor rating on the window and had great food and service. And they let us try 4 wines until we were happy. A very happy experience

I visited the place. Not bad But nothing special about the food. The stuff very polite. Too expensive for what they provide.

This small restaurant was close to our hotel in L'Opera. As in most small restaurants, the tables were tight, requiring the table to be completely moved out for the person sitting in the back to be able to get out. The menu presented a variety of french food at a very reasonable price! We had the steak for 2 with... More

Our experience was a bit mixed, but I would return. The glassware was not proper (off smell) and I had to pour my wine into another glass to drink it. The entrées were average, but the main dishes were well prepared, especially the marrow bones. What made the evening pleasurable was the close attention of the family who runs the... More

This is the real deal, not a tourist trap. The food was genuine and made there. Good selection and very welcoming staff. We made a reservation in line since we weren't sure about a Saturday night. No problem. Service was efficient and friendly. Lots of choice in win and great desserts. We very much enjoyed it. In the end this... More

We went there because it was raining and our hotel was around there. Food is simple and French ( typical ). We tried Friend egg and oyster. Oyster was nice.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and chose to based on the fact that it was very close to our hotel and had many good reviews. It was very atmospheric and we were lucky that we had arrived when we did otherwise we probably would not have got a table (the restaurant is not very large and everyone... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
