I came to this restaurant twice during my visit to Basilique of Sacré Coeur in 2015 and 2016. I love the place. They have nice decorations & good food. They also have vegetarian menu which is cool. The last time I came for lunch, I had to wait long time to get my food. It was a little bit disturbing... More

No more hot food around that time, just teas, coffees and cakes. Never mind, if you are just resting or having a break from the long walks after Sacre Coeur, then it is still worth experiencing this quaint, quirky cafe. Love the vibes and ambience. What can I say, I love cafes!

Went there with friends and family for lunch. We started off outside and made the mistake of moving several tables together. The owner came out and moved them back again. At first we were annoyed until he explained that the local council imposes huge fines on restaurants that move chairs or tables over some invisible line on the pavement. Once... More

This is a favourite: great location at the top of typical Montmartre steps, on a little place just at the edge of the park that lies below the basilica, with tables outside and in, and always a great prix fixe lunch menu for about 12 Euros. Quick service, very good, classic food, and a good wine selection (wine is extra,... More

We had a family lunch here in early June and really enjoyed both the setting and the food. The restaurant is on a cobble stoned street at the base of the "back steps" up to the Sacre Coeur cathedral. We were able to eat outdoors and we spent a very pleasant hour there. Both my husband and I had the... More

My companion had the beef stew with gnocchi which she said was some of the nicest beef she had ever tasted. I had the fish of the day which came with salad and a small amount of saffron rice. It was very tasty but the portion size was a little disappointing for the price. Guessing we were paying for the... More

I was in this restaurant, yesterday around 9 pm. Someone stole my bag while we were waiting for our food. There was a security camera but it did not check the restaurant. When we ask the waiter to check the camera, they said, it is impossible, because the camera wasnt able to see where we are sitting and the manager... More

The restaurant is in one of the loveliest and quietest squares in Paris, up the stairs towards the Sacre Coeur, facing the gardens. Pretty interior, and a sought-after terrace. Very friendly service, good quiches and salads, and the aioli is excellent!

Friendly staff and amazing location. The food is homemade and delicious. It is a great place to rest before you go up the last stairs to the Sacré Coeur. We recommend the Ossobuco and the cafe gourmand.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
