Visited on a Tuesday evening with a colleague. We had the menu and were very pleased with the food quality. The empanadillas were nice but not exceptional, the Angus beef was very tender and tasty. However, with only about 15 people in the restaurant, service...More

This place doesn't look much from outside, and the decor inside is a little tired too but the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good indeed. Great food and a reasonable price. Would happily dine here again.

A lovely old room. Food is ok but not that memorable. Good short wine list. Good coffee and desert. Reasonably priced.

I booked my birthday dinner here two weeks ago. There were seven of us present and every single one of us thought the food was amazing. The salmon spring rolls have got to be one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. The...More

Booked this restaurant because of reviews on TA and regretted it. It's in a very unattractive area so I though the food must be excellent. Service ok though not especially friendly. The prices were very high--27 euros for a main course?--Mine was a guinea fowl...More

Very good food. Tasty and cheap. Loved how the food was presented! As all french bistros, the dessert area needs improvement. Great service. Just one advice: ask for tapped water!

Good food, traditional with a twist. Super nice and friendly service, even though the restaurant was full with everybody rushing through lunch during a working day. I would surely go back!

The Fifth (Quartier Latin) has been my favourite district in Paris for 50 years, owing to its concentration of world-class universities. Le Buisson Ardent (the Burning Bush) was a pleasing discovery a few days ago. Here you will get a very warm welcome, delightful service,...More

I wrote a review for Le Buisson Ardent the last time I was in Paris, about five years ago. But I've just had lunch there and I feel the need to write about it once more. The two amuse bouches - delightful. The meals themselves...More

The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,

by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During

I went in May without a reservation and dressed casually. So I would not say there is any dress code.
