1 MICHELIN Star: High quality cooking, worth a stop!
Established in 1582, this elegant restaurant on the banks of the Seine gained a new floor in the early 20C, and with it one of the best views of Paris's emblematic river and Notre Dame! Tour d'Argent has continued to move with the times: on the ground floor is the Bar des Maillets d'Argent – which harks back to 1930s Britain – with its snack menu and daily specials. The restaurant menu, revamped by chef and Meilleur Ouvrier de France Yannick Franques, draws on the neo-Classical heritage of several decades of French haute cuisine (with a particular emphasis on sauces); the perfectly honed service is as spectacular as ever. As for the extraordinary wine cellar, it is home to over 300 000 bottles. Above the restaurant, a new roof terrace is the ideal spot for a cocktail on a weekday evening or weekend afternoon.

Cuisine, service, beautiful views. This has it all, but for a price. The room is six floors up, large and open, decorated tastefully modern, with panoramic windows facing Notre Dame and the Seine. A total of eight people took care of our table at various times, but not overbearingly. Staff was attentive and accommodating. The menu is limited and should be viewed in advance to align with your needs. We had their signature duckling "Frederic Delair," a two course creation that gave us duck prepared three different ways, from duck breast to duck leg, all delectable. Our entree (French for starter), was quenelle de brochet, an oval-shaped thick scoop of fish heaven which we shared. Before the entree came four amuse bouches, all bite-sized separate creations brought on stone plates. Did I mention the homemade breads that are the best you ever tasted? The wine list is huge and the sommelier will help you navigate. We limit ourselves to 2 glasses each, white for the quenelle, and red for the duck, so we chose by the glass, a generous pour (25-35/glass). Complimentary chocolates were brought before dessert. We shared a fig-based dessert with ice cream. The meal lasted 3 hours but the service was not slow; it took that long to savor the meal and all the complimentary treats. Scan the menu for the prices so you'll know what to expect, then just go to experience the utmost in dining.

A mythical and magical place. We celebrated my wife's birthday, this time just the two of us as lovers, and the magic happened! Apart from a somewhat "manly" but kind welcome at the entrance, everything was almost perfect! From the valet to the maître d', including the waiters, the kitchen, the view of Paris with a beautiful bay window, etc. Everyone was very attentive; the refined cuisine, with noble seasonal products, succulent, super well presented, and super well served. Our dietary restrictions were taken into account. The table dressing, the cutlery, and the table service, with very beautiful Christofle silverware. As soon as you get up from the table, a waiter rushes to fold your napkin and pull out your chair to sit back down. The price of the lunch meal is reasonable, and for a 4-course menu we got more than our money's worth. We had the nice surprise of receiving, in addition to the pre-dessert and dessert, a good and beautiful cake with a candle to mark my wife's birthday. Still or sparkling water is served as desired at no extra cost. The maître d' who accompanied us to the exit showed us the terrace which still has a panoramic view of Paris. Our car was waiting for us in front of the restaurant. What a magnificent experience.

My husband and I went to lunch for the first time at the Silver Tower last Saturday, thanks to the generosity of our Santa ;-) We were expecting to have a great time facing a splendid view, of course, but Above all, we discovered a place, both timeless and projected into a future of lasting refinement and timeless and subtly contemporary luxury by its owner and the talented architect Franklin Azzi. This setting, in which you instantly feel infinitely good, is inhabited by a team of very great professionals, whose skills are all put to the service of the customer, without any obsequiousness, and in a climate of terribly contagious good humor. The smiles are sincere, each attention warm and touching. The chef is as friendly as he is a master of recipes that are certainly traditional, but enhanced by the quality of the products and the commitment of a team that works wonders, delights our taste buds and makes the eyes of those who are not stupidly jaded shine. . The sommelier is at the height of an exceptional wine list. He knows how to uncover your tastes and offer you, with astonishing accuracy, the bottles that correspond exactly to your dreams, while respecting your means. As for the owner of the place, he appeared to us to perfectly live up to the myth over whose destiny he presides, in the memory of his parents, which he maintains with great care, and the attention he pays to his customers as well as to his teams seemed quite remarkable to us. Thank you thank you thank you again to everyone for all the happiness you offer through your wonderful work! Every detail of this moment will remain engraved in our hearts forever. We hope that life, and our work, will give us the chance to come back, at sunset next time.

We went to this prestigious restaurant with a couple of friends, 4 of us. Compulsory suit jacket, one of us didn't have one, so they lent us one, it was stained all over the collar, which says a lot about the hygiene of loaner jackets. Installed, we take a first bottle of champagne “Bollinger €280”, this was served to us hot, the sommelier tells us to wait for it to cool in the bucket. He adds that they don't have enough space in the fridges. To follow, we take a bottle of wine “Chassagne Montrachet 160€” The wine was maderised, the sommelier replied that this was normal. We order 4 famous menus at 440€ per person, because it is obligatory for the whole table to take an identical menu... 6-course service The duck served with the cling film around it would have been "forgotten". “Overcooked” sole fillet I would like to point out that the jacket remains obligatory for men all evening even if inside the restaurant the heat is stifling, the comfort of the customer is really not the priority of this establishment. At the end of the meal, we had to serve ourselves the wine and champagne because there were no more waiters. Finally, we asked for a form, we were told that this was not possible, we left with a provisional bill of €2490 for 4 people. We are still waiting for the email with the invoice.

The main problem must be the gap between the expectations and the reality. On the other hand, given the place and the renomé and the price, you may be forgiven for having expectations. With one fish dish on the menu, with a price tag of a small fishing boat, it is strange to be told at 7,30 pm that there is only one portion left. Our main course arrived only half warm. It has been on the plates for too long but the waiters had too much to say to each other. That sometimes happens when there are too many waiters in a restuarant, they believe someone else will do the job. On the positive note: the view is worth a higher price, the wine list includes real gems, the deserts were very nice. We were all glad to have experienced it but will most probably test another high-end restaurant next time.

I think I had very high expectations. Though it wouldn’t take an extraordinary effort to meet them they still were not met. There was a lentil soup amuse that I still cannot believe they served. How did something so bland and gritty get past the Chef de Cuisine? So many questions like why, at a duck restaurant was there only one duck dish on the tasting menu when there were 3 fish dishes? A young and clumsy staff but there was a youthful charm. A rum baba was served to us when in the reservation comments and on multiple occasions at the table we said we do not drink. They did replace it with a fig dessert but not after we took a nice big bite of raw alcohol. I’m so hesitant to write honest reviews considering I’m in the industry but I was just plain disappointed. If you do go order à la carte and share a duck.

One of the most breathtaking views of Paris---The Notre Dame, Seine River, Sacre Coeur, The Paris rooftops. The dining room renovation is spectacular, and very modern chic but still bringing the traditional service and values of hospitality that has been its reputation since its opening in 1582. I had the 4 course Dejeuner menu, which was a lovely tasting at a price of 150 Euros and is very much the value you get. The staff was like a ballet company, executing each move around each other in perfection. The food was beyond delicious and Vieri/Flavie and their entire team was more than attentive. I felt like a VIP, even dining solo. I found out later, that the 3rd generation owner, Andre Terrail, came to my table to ask me about my experience!

The reception on the ground floor is quite cold otherwise the restaurant staff is very attentive. The fact of not having a menu as well as for the aperitifs as well as the menu is really unpleasant. The cheese platter at 38 euros is much too expensive especially when you are cutting extra fine slats. The meal is good but not exceptional, only the duck stands out.

The restaurant has only been open for 4 months, we feel that it is still in the break-in period. The service is very approximate with a lot of clumsiness or errors of taste. The room is noisy and heterogeneous where private guests mix with groups "on expense account". The dishes are up to par, but perhaps lack a little originality; out of fashion four months before the opening would be a shame.

Having heard so much about this restaurant, I was very much looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately however, from the first moments there, I saw that so much was lacking. Upon entering the restaurant 5 minutes before my reservation time, a woman at the door told me to have a seat and she would get back to me soon. This took me by surprise, as she was not at all welcoming. the two of us sat in the bar lounge as we were told, and there we sat. % minutes passed, then 10 and even 15. No one ever came to us to offer us a drink, or even a glass of water. The game woman saw that I was gettin irritated, and she finally came over to say that she was having to take another group up to theta floor before because she had no where to put them. This seemed like a strange excuse for the delay of over 15 minutes. When she finally came to escort us to the elevator, she asked me what was wrong. I guess she cold tell by my face that I was not happy. I told her that I felt it was inexcusable to keep us waiting for so long, and her only response was that they take one party up the elevator at a time and that's "just how we do it." There was absolutely no apology at all. Then, we finally got to our table, and to add insult to injury, we sat at the table for 7 minus (yes, I counted) until someone finally came to take a drink order. The rest of the evening was filled with mishaps and lack of attention. The space is beautiful and the food was tasty, but the service is amateurish and I would simply not recommend spending $800 a couple for this restaurant.

We spent a very nice evening, notably having our aperitif on the 7th floor with a superb view of most of the famous monuments of Paris, then our meal on the 6th floor. The food was excellent, as was the champagne and white wine. The staff appeared to have mastered their subjects very well, while being very friendly and kind. Only one downside, usual in this type of large restaurant: the wines are a little expensive for my taste; for example, the bottle of wine I drank can easily be found online for half the price I paid.

The welcome, the atmosphere, the service and the setting were exceptional but unfortunately no effort was made to adapt the food for a low salt diet, only to put the sauce next to it. The quenelle was even served well salted on a cream itself well salted. Another less salty version was very quickly served in exchange.

4-course lunch menu without a false note except in the end with the forgetting of Mr.'s coffee when Mrs. was drinking her tea (this was reported upon leaving following a request for our feelings about the moment spent at the tower silver!). From aperitif to dessert, it was a harmony of dishes that followed one another. We are not talking about the view which is just exceptional in the heart of PARIS facing Notre Dame! The setting of the room with a view of the open kitchens is pleasant (watching others work while you taste their culinary work). Quality service during the majority of lunch The end result lived up to our expectations. The valet parking service is also appreciable, especially in the capital.

They have again carefully modernized a little, the seating is much more comfortable, but the house still breathes the decades-long tradition of a Parisian kitchen institution, Chapeau! Since Testerfrank had announced the accompaniment of a lady who had never stopped there when making the reservation, we had a table with incredibly good views, it was a very nice experience. The kitchen is still at the highest level, the portions perfectly coordinated, so that despite the menu sequence of in toto about 10 courses you do not get up from the table at the end weighed down. You don't have to say anything extra about the sensational wine list, it was worth the visit. And last but not least: The service is impeccable- charming but not intrusive and always attentive.

I went to the silver tower with lots of stars in my eyes. The welcome at the entrance was very good but what a disappointment when I went up to the restaurant: 3.5 hours for a romantic à la carte dinner with the feeling of being completely transparent to the waiters. Too bad because the culinary specialties are up to par but spoiled by service unworthy of this type of establishment. I will not return and I will not recommend for special occasions.

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
