Do you want to feel special? And have a wonderful meal paired with superb wine? And have the best view in Paris? Then what are you waiting for? It is expensive but we went at lunch (make SURE you have a reservation) and we thought it well worth the effort of my husband bringing a jacket. (Tie not required for... More

The meal was great, wine even better, not price efficient at all, but who cares? The service is impeccable.

I choose this restaurant as the perfect place to propose to my girlfriend. She said yes - and the memories will last for ever, thanks to this amazing restaurant. As soon as we arrived in the taxi, the staff from the restaurant opened the door to the taxi and welcomed us. We were seated in a sofa and soon thereafter... More

This restaurant is amazing. It's hard to believe that any restaurant can keep exceeding your expectations, but this one does. Everything about this place is great, including the food, service, and decor. This is not a restaurant where the waiters wear black shirts buttoned up to the neck or there's foam on the plate. Tour d'argent prides itself on its... More

We have been here twice so far and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both time. On both occasions, girlfriend and I had shared the roasted duckling a la orange, and it was cooked to perfection. Duck juice and orange sauce is delicious - outstanding pairing for the duck. Be warned the dish comes in two servings, first being the chest/filet and... More

This was my fourth time in a period of 10 years and we will never go back. The food was dismal (has gone from 3 to 1 star, but it is still 1 star because is french, it would have 0 if based in any other country). Very sad experience for such an historical place.

What a treat to try the oldest restaurant in Paris the food was magnificent and the attention to detail amazing. This was fine dining from another era and one we will always treasure thank you to staff of Tour d'Argent for an unforgettable evening

This was our third year going to Tour d'Argent for Christmas lunch, and I don't think we'll return, it was so disappointing. Other years there was a 3 course Christmas menu, but it was also possible to order off of the regular menu. This year when my husband made the reservation, it was not clear to him that it was... We recently returned for our annual Christmas day lunch at the Tour d'Argent and were very saddened by the changes. We had the fixed menu, which was not as good as in the past. What saddened us the most was the lower level of service. We had a wine recommended to us that proved quite rough and overpowered our seafood... More

We go to Tour d'Argent every year for a holiday luncheon. It gets better every trip! The price fix luncheon menu is fabulous. The menu is more imaginative than before; the chef is brilliant. The owner is very attentive and comes by every table during the course of the meal. The views down the Seine, particularly of Notre Dame, are... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
