Visited La Fregale for lunch, happened to walk past and we went in. What a lovely surprise. We had the beef bourgingnon and confit du canard. Both were delicious. Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant, lots of buzzy tables made for a pleasant dining experience. The bill was a nice surprise too- we would have been happy to pay more... More

Visited with my fiancée, only nipped in for a drink. It was quiet, tidy and very reasonable. The staff were very friendly.

Not far from the Musee d'Orsay & the Louvre, "La Fregate" is a traditional French restaurant with a comfortable dining room overlooking the Seine. Good soups - very traditional onion & an excellent fish soup, first rate chicken & frites, good rumpsteak. Oyster menu looked enticing but skipped that this time. For two of us with wine, coffee and pre-dinner... More

We had lunch here because it started to rain. Never had a chance to check TripAdvisor. We were very surprised how good it was. Excellent service from English speaking waiter. We,had the best onion soup we have had. The salad was crisp and fresh. Good place to watch people.

Excellent blanquette de veau and onion soup gratinee. Superb service from English-speaking waiter. Just across from the Louvre. Pleasant atmosphere with outdoor tables as well. Highly recommend.

Just back from an evening meal at La Fregate on the final night of our holiday. The food and service both exceeded expectations. The French onion soup and beef bourguignon were amazing. As we're the creme brûlée and apple tarte for desert! Satin, our waiter ensured our experience was one to remember. Thank you.

After several hours viewing the art and art-like features along the Seine during Nuit Blanche, we stopped at La Fregate for dinner. Luck was with us, and we were seated indoors at a table by the window, where we could people-watch without seeming to gawk. We ordered beef bourguignon and a nice red wine. I must tell you, it was... Dropped in for a drink on our way to the Musee D'Orsay which is close by, and this restaurant looked like an overpriced trap for tourists, but it was a nice surprise to find the drinks were about the cheapest we'd found in Paris. Had a look at the menu and decided that we would try it out after our... More
