We went to celebrate our anniversary after a good bit of research. Everything good about Paris restaurants and reasonably priced. A relatively small place on the Ile Ste. Louis, we had a great meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly, yes friendly, service. Three courses for...More

Ignore bad reviews on NYE. The staff were warm, welcoming and multilingual. Service was exceptionally polite and timely. Ravioli, graitan and sea bass all hit the spot. Don't miss out.

I made a reservation for three on the restaurant's website and l'Orangerie confirmed it online, then sent a text message the day before to my French phone number re-confirming it, then sent an email the afternoon before to remind us to be there. When we...More

Having enjoyed a very nice if modest country dinner at La Reine Blanche a couple of nights previously, we were surprised to see the very same maitre d' / waiter at L'Orangerie when we ventured in later in the week! It turns out the two...More

This is a small bistro located on a tourist drag. I was A little apprehensive for that reason, and hadn’t read the calamitous reviews of New Year’s Eve 2017. But for a quick Sunday lunch this was just what the doctor ordered. Excellent ravioli foie...More

Rainy day run turned into a fantastic museum experience - we had wanted to visit the Orsay, but they are closed Monday’s. This museum is much smaller, but has the most incredible 2 room Monet exhibit not to mention so many other impressionists. Highly recommend...More

I've never been compelled to leave a scathing review before, but let me start by putting it bluntly: This restaurant, based on prior reviews, may have been good in the past, but based on the evening I and everyone else that night experienced, this is...More

Following prior wonderful meals here, we fought to secure a reservation for New Years Eve. Now, we will never return. It was a simply horrible experience. The staff was overwhelmed, the service was incredibly slow and the food only adequate until the main course which...More

New Year's Eve. Along with the entire restaurant, we left after an extremely disappointing experience. We stood in line to pay for what we drank and tell the owner (?) that it was a horrible experience. Cold lobster ravioli, cold foie gras, disgusting amuse bouche,...More

I was disappointed after reading so many great reviews. I found most things about the restaurant just average. First of all, while it is quite elegant, and I appreciate Restaurants that have made an effort to make sure its customers can hear each other over...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

I don't think this is the case. We were there in July and the weather was hot. My husband wore an open necked shirt to dinner at L'Orangerie. We had a great night; hope you enjoy it too.
