service is extremely poor, ambiance is blank; taste and presentation of the food are very disappointing.

Why travel thousands of miles from the US to Paris for a meal? Because l'Arpege is on the other end. The only 10 course fully vegetarian and completely amazing meal I've ever had. The food was astonishing. The service perfect. The sommeliers excellent. The pace perfect and un-rushed. Every mouthful a delight. The only downside... we got seated in the... More

This is the only celebrity chef that still only has 1 restaurants, cooks there himself so it is pretty authentic. He hires 10 farmers and picks the best vegetables to serve. No red meat. We loved it and the combination of flavours really show off the skill and talent of the chef. Alan is super friendly that really added to... More

We have never had better tasting vegetables, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. And it was great for the ambience in the restaurant that Alain Passard was present and full of energy in the dining room. But the food was not cooked in a very cutting edge way, the wine we tasted was not very interesting, and the restaurant interior... More

We had lunch at the L'Arpège. Both of us took the tasting menu. All the dishes but one were vegetarian wich was great for us. We had 15 (!!) tasting dishes for about 3 (!!) hours. It was pure joy. Everything we tasted was creative, original and very good (yet, not divine). The chef came out of kitchen a few... More

Watched the "Chef's Table" on NetFlix about this magical place. Our son is a huge fan and since we were going to Paris (first time) had to take advantage. 3.5 hours. 16 course tasting menu. Each plate was a new adventure. The staff was beyond professional and informed and above all, proud to be part of this. Expensive? Oh yes!... More

Booked this restaurant for dinner with high expectations given the fact that it has three Michelin stars. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The food was good, but nothing near the taste and quality one would expect from the ratings, and of course the price. Service was also average - attentive, but without warmth. In the end, it felt like a... More

Before visiting Arpège, I recommend that watch, if possible !, the Netflix, Chef's Table, France - documentary #1 so that you understand the journey of Alain Passart, from traditional, meat-focused to seasonality-conscious, vegetable-obsessed Chef. It is a moving journey of success and yet disaster, of reinvention and renewal. Understanding that Passart broke down and could only come back to cooking... More

Located by the Army museum, this restaurant’s exterior and interior are (probably intentionally) somewhat unprepossessing and understated respectfully. The interior contains tables that are quite close together and seats probably 40 covers; I was given a solo-table near the front desk to watch all of the action. This was the first of two three-star meals during my most recent trip... More
