Service a bit grumpy, yet professional. Food not so good. Sauce Bearnese old and tasteless. Steak tough. Potatoes also tasteless. Only good thing was the absinthe service after the meal.More

Aside from the absinthe gimmickery, the food was by far the weekest we had in our 10 day trip. From the appetizers to dessert it was all just average or worse, and this isn't a bargain establishment.More

I had the under whelming duck special. The taste of both the duck and accompanying sauce were slightly off and did not complement each other. My wife had the duck form the standard menu which was good and also featured much larger portions than my...More

Hello, we won't have a special menu for New Years Eve. It will be our usual « à la carte » menu with some specials on the blackboard. Best regards.

Description
L'Absinthe is a "bistrot de cuisinier", a cooks' bistrot, firmly modern. The menu is entirely created, tested and produced in the restaurant's kitchen. Every single task from the slicing of vegetables to the seasoning of sauces including the filleting of fish, is executed in situ from A to Z. Each dish conveys the creative family spirit at the rate of the seasons and inspired by their different journeys around the world. The restaurant's interior design will also make you feel this travelling and dynamic atmosphere: you will eat in setting which is a mix between a typical Parisian bistrot and a loft in New York.
