On my bucket list for Paris - we had lunch today and it was exquisite! A friendly reception, comfortable old age interiors with the chef in the kitchen at the back toiling through his ingredients. We chose the business lunch menu for 35 Euros for...More

This place must have been good once, but not on the night we were there. Beef that had no beef flavor and salmon that was awfull. Credit where credit is due. Rice pudding was amazing.

We booked based on reviews on TripAdvisor. It was hard to get a slot but worth it. The only downside was a bit of a confusion with our reservation (they could not find it) but that was quickly resolved once I presented our booking confirmation...More

Beware, L'ami Jean is not worth the money. Please note that I am not hesitant to pay pay for good food, but be forewarned, you can find so many other options worth your time in Paris. The octopus was over cooked. The vegetable salad was...More

Overpriced and absurd service. Our food was brought to the table and literally taken away to be given to another customer. One dish was served cold and had to be returned to the kitchen. The waitress couldn't keep her stories straight as to why she...More

Very good restaurant with fun vibe. The food was all outstanding and the service was fun and very good. The only negative is that you sit very close, in fact next to your neighbor so it has a different vibe. We were seated next to...More

Absolutely fantastic restaurant, and I highly recommend trying to get a spot here. We just lucked into getting a table here, and went with the chef special, which was just awesome. The Parmesean soup was phenomenal, but who knows what the chef will make when...More

We are excited to have a reservation at L'Ami Jean for our first trip to Paris over Easter weekend! My wife has dairy allergy- would she have an enjoyable experience at L'Ami Jean or are there very few, if any, dairy-free dishes? I understand there is no set menu... we just don't want to cause an inconvenience on the kitchen to accommodate her dietary needs.

Description
L'Ami Jean is a Parisian restaurant. Chef Stephane Jego, born in Britain, wanted to keep some of the BASQ identity ue of the restaurant when he resumed teaching in 2002, and made it one of the jewels of the trend of the gastro-bistro capital. Trained by Yves Camdeborde to Regalade in the 90s, Stephan started to stand on its own feet ten years later to provide insider unique culinary experiences, sincere and renewed. Because the constant questioning is his credo. Around a cohesive team, it offers exceptional products through recipes (re) invented daily, always claiming a special relationship with many producers. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
