Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped in here for a quick coffee. We were too late for brunch unfortunately but the coffee itself was very nice and the servers attentive. A great place for a drink when you've been walking all day!

It has delicious food and drinks. The highlight of my breakfast here was the soft boiled eggs and soldiers which was phenomenal. The hot chocolate was also wonderful. I would recommend to anyone who is nearby.

This place was on our way back from our visit to the Sacred Heart Cathedral. My husband ordered the Assiette d’Été, and I ordered the acai bowl. The Assiette (salad ) was really good. The acai bowl was more of a chia pudding with granola....It was a bit too sweet for me. The service was very friendly.More

I ordered the in house salad bowl and it was so delish! And at the same time, so healthy. A rare combination to die for. And my mum is vegan and they had such a variety of vegan cakes and cookies for her. Fabulous experience

This small little cafe was the perfect find for our final day in Paris, we enjoyed a breakfast with our three kids, there was something for everyone. The cakes are delicious and the food was very fresh and lovely coffee and hot chocolate. The only...shame was there were no pancakes for the kids as we read they were great and the service had been slow as it became very busy but they apologised for this and gifted us with some of their signature Madeleines as an apology which was a lovely touch and we took home some of the gorgeous cake mixture packs, would definitely return if I was in the area.More

Busy small cafe serving great brunch choices. Nice ambience and good service. Kids thoroughly enjoyed different pancake options. I enjoyed a ‘set’ brunch with bread/jam, boiled egg, orange juice & coffee. Reasonable value for area.

I was walking on Rue de Martyrs looking for a place for lunch. All the people outside the cafe and entering and exiting were speaking French, so I went in here. I’m so glad I did! In French, I thought I ordered the half soup...half sandwich and I told the woman I was a vegetarian when she asked which sandwich. She spoke quickly in French I couldn’t understand to a coworker and told me, I thought, they could make any sandwich vegetarian. I picked one from the menu but didn’t understand all the ingredients. She must have been telling me they could make a vegetarian salad. I got a delicious one with French lentils, feta, and roasted pumpkin! If you’re in Montmarte or at Sacre Coeur, it’s worth going here for lunch.More

The cafe we usually go to was closed so on our way to KB for a coffee and a bit we happened on this place. Warm and welcoming, filled with people we decided it was a better option than KBs hard wooden chairs and cramped...quarters inside. Prices were high, but as I told my Parisienne companion, beggers can’t be choosers. All was fine until our obviously sour waitress treated us with condescension and impatience. The other staff were fine and the cash register hostess was utterly charming. The food was good, the coffee great!(a pleasant surprise). If I can be guaranteed another waitress I’d go back.More

We visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast/brunch. Originally we had intended to go to KB Cafe which is just up the street but it was queuing out the door. We had passed Marlette on the way which looked really attractive from the outside so...we rolled the dice and gave it a go. We were greeted by a pleasant young man who invited us to take a seat outside and he promptly brought us some menus. On reflection the prices are quite typical for Paris but initially seemed steep. After a couple of minutes we turned away a waiter as we where not ready to order and asked for a couple more minutes. We did not see anyone for 10 minutes at which point our order was placed. Unfortunately no drinks or food turned up for another 30 minutes. In that time we watched locals sit down, order, be served their food and drinks all around us. When the food did arrive, the soft boiled eggs were stone cold and had clearly been sitting around and were not edible. This coupled with the extensive wait time was annoying to say the least. This will go down as the first time I have sent food back to the kitchen. The coffee was delicious and my partner enjoyed her salmon and avocado on toast. The staff were apologetic and were happy to take the cost of the eggs off the bill and gave us the coffee for free. I believe it was just an honest mistake and it was likely our order was misplaced. However, numerous members of staff passed us whilst we were sat there waiting and seemingly didn’t think it curious that no food or drink was in front of us for such a long period.More

I went here due to a friend's recommendation. It's very popular and we were lucky to get a seat. The menu is fairly limited on the weekend however the food is fresh and tasty. The coffee is also nice. The staff were a tad hard...to get ahold of but were friendly. Prices are ok too.More

Go there as early as 0930! Than they open and you will get a set. As they do no reservations you might be unlucky to arrive later. But it is worth it. Nice place, great service and food. A relaxed way to start your sunday!

Don't be too hungry when you arrive. There might be a bit of a wait. This is a very popular breakfast place. But by the time you get seated, you will be ready to savour the delicious breakfast and coffee of Cafe Marlette. Staff was...friendly despite the rush. We even went for a second breakfast!More
