We stopped here for early dinner and was very crowded, but found a table inside. The waiter was very helpful with our food selections. It was a rainy day so I figured I should get something warm like French onion soup and special Flore chocolate. It was the best I've ever tasted! I enjoyed the service and the energetic atmosphere.

Spotted Karl Lagerfeld dine in here while we were having dinner, so that itself is a sign that this place is great. Enjoyed our dinner and the food was tasty.

If Messrs Sartre and Camus had to wait as long as I did for a drink in here, no wonder they got so much writing done Painfully slow and not particularly friendly service…I waited about 20 minutes for one glass of wine. And this when the place was not even half full and there were plenty of staff on duty…goodness... More

We wandered in on a cold afternoon in April. The outside tables were completely full despite the weather so we sat in one of the tables just inside in the glassed in area. Just lovely, almost like being outside but warmer. We only wanted drinks so I cannot comment on the food. I had wanted to try eau de vie,... More

Heard a lot about this place and being there was absolutely fabulous. Got there on a beautiful sunny Tuesday afternoon and didn't take long to get a table, a perfect spot to watch people. We also spotted a famous French actor sitting a couple of tables away. There wasn't a lot of space between tables but we didn't mind at... More

Very busy and a bit tight. Not complaining just saying. The food was very good and the staff surprisingly friendly. Traveled with children and they liked it as well.

Famous and picturesque from across the street, the cafe is better photographed than attended. There are tons of cafes that do wine and cafe at better prices with the element of "people watching". The cafe is resting on its history and picturesque nature from afar. Better to take a picture and have a cafe somewhere else.

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
