Truly my worst experience. Today, I was with an OVS group to enter this place. I arrived a little early, and thinking that the rest of the group is inside, I tried to enter. Because I didn't bring a girl with me, I was denied...entry. Be as sexiest as that may, I tried calling the organizer of the OVS event. Turned out,she was waiting towards the end of the line, and was kind enough to exit the line and re-enter with me. The thing is, your bouncer didn't allow even that, since I tried to enter once. It doesn't reflect well on either your bar entry policy, or your bouncers. Looks like it was poor judgement on my part to even think of going to your place. You're truly disgusting and your employees lack class. Negative 5 stars.More

Very nice place by the quay. We were a large group of work colleagues, organised dinner, many tables. Food was passable, dessert disgusting. Waitress was out of her depth, although she tried and was friendly. Bought extra bottle of red wine. No tasting. Wine turned...out to be horrible, all at table agreed. Manager called, was rude. Treated us like idiots and brought over a blanc, because "red is too complicated for you"! We were shocked. A disgrace to the hospitality profession and to the France he represented. Never again. Beware.More

We all love places in the front of the river, everybody is attracted by similar places as moths to the light. The location is surely cozy, and the terrace over the Sein is the strongest point to go there. The weak points are the expensive...drinks (or the faint imitation: try this tricky game, guess which is real cocktail is the ispiration for what you are drinking) and the music. Weakest point is the selection at the entrance: they have no criteria. We waited thirty minutes before to arrive in front of a guy that said us: “you cannot enter, it is too full”. He pushed us away (gently... of course...) and he let enter more than 10 guys (all men). When we complained he replied “you do not speak French… I have not to explain”. Our friends were inside, one another guy listen to our complains and he said “my colleague now is talking, enter fast”. I thought that the game “good/bad cops” was only in police movie…More

I had a week in Paris with a friend and we were looking for somewhere with a view. We found Cafe Barge and were able to sit outside on the back deck. The waiter was really helpful, as the menu is in French, and explained...all the dishes. I ordered the salad (Salade du sud, legumes grilles et mozzarella di Buffala) as an entree and my friend had the Mille Feuille d'avoat crevettes sauce cocktail (avocado and shrimp) - both were outstanding. As a main I ordered the steak and chips (Entrecôte, sauce vierge chimichrri, potatoes epics) and my friend ordered the fish served on a bed of vegetables. My steak was ok - a bit chewy and too much fat and gristle for me, and the fish was very 'fishy', so much so that she couldn't eat it. Dessert was the Mi-cuit au chocolate, coeur coolant au carambar, glade carambar (chocolate lava cake basically) which was absolutely fabulous, and my friend had the Creme brûlée, which was also fabulous. Presentation of all dishes was amazing. The waiter suggested a Rose to drink with the meals and this was a great choice. The entree and dessert were amazing, but felt that the mains let the meal down. The ambiance was lovely, being able to sit on the deck and watch all the boats go past and the service was great.More

We had our conference banquet here. The view on the Seine is very nice. The service was OK, given we were such a large group. I liked the food & the wine, but some participants were less enthusiastic about the food. I think everybody liked...the wine.More
