If you're jonzin for bacon, sausage, omelettes, cereal and pancakes just like Momma makes back home, hit up BIA in Paris. Set in a 1950's diner motif and playing 1950's music, the food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is just right.

Busy and compact diner, good pancakes, service and coffee but expensive for what it serves. Busy with American students and visitors (no surprise). Better value at crepe stall across the road. Staff very pleasant and efficient.

The burger was good, well-cooked, tasted great, nice bun and toppings. But the fries were so bad, I couldn't eat them. They must have come frozen. Honestly, McDonald's serves better fries. The wait staff was inattentive. Not just to me. Other people had to wait for ages just to place an order. The waiters all congregate amongst themselves at the... More

Great place to experience the typical american breakfast! The ambiance is nice. The pancakes and burger are amazing! And the price range is very acceptable.

Went here for breakfast last week and it was lovely. I had pancakes and my girlfriend had french toast, both were great and big portions. Only downside is the size, it's quite cramped but didn't take away from the food or service from the waitresses who were really friendly. Refill coffee and hot chocolate were also nice.

We had just reached Paris, and was recommended to eat here, we enjoyed the food as it was food we were familiar with, we were greeted by an American woman who helped me with my allergies, and answered my questions. Although there was no dairy or gluten free items, I had 2 fried eggs and their home potatoes which were... More

During a recent getaway to Paris I craved a large American style breakfast. I read some online reviews and set off on a 40 minute (2 metro) journey to Breakfast in America. As we got off the road and walked towards the place it didn't look great, signs outside from the road looked a little cheap or run down but... More

English speaking staff, endless refill on coffee and staples of good american breakfast make this place an exotic place for visiting in Paris! I ordered white chocolate blueberry pancakes and wow... What a cloudy soft and also a hearty breakfast! I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a change in Paris:)

Visited this place once but will not go there anymore. Place isn't very clean. But then again the food was nice and people were nice. Had a omelet with cheese and veggies and pancakes with sirop. Portions were large and we went stuffed out again.

If you want an alternative to pastries, this is the place to come. Although fairly small, we had no issues getting a table within the American diner setting. Our breakfast was delicious and huge (no need for lunch). Free coffee refills were included and the orange juice was freshly squeezed.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
