After a slow start, when we arrived with 8 people without reservation and restaurant seemed to be at a loss to know how to deal with a large number of English speaking guests, they kicked into high gear to provide good service. The meals were...More

We were stuck on what to do for our last night in Paris - do we do a cafe and save money, or go out for one more splurge? We made the right decision by coming the Brasserie Lorraine. The restaurant offers what they call...More

Interesting how they display their sea food offer outside on a booth like on a fish market. While you are there the staff constantly brings impressive sea food platters inside the restaurant. We had to wait for an hour before we finally got our table...More

Had dinner here on Easter Monday. I had the crab salad appetizer which was excellent. For the main course I had the grilled Scottish salmon which was very tasty. It was served with vegetables and was delicious. I had a glass of the Chardonnay which...More

My wife and I had a great experience at Brasserie Lorraine. We started with a dozen of the best oysters, then followed it up with the salt-crusted sea bass, which may be the best fish I've ever eaten. Paired with a (fairly) reasonably priced bottle...More

We found this Brassiere near our Hotel. Sat outside on a balmy April evening. Exceptional busy for a Sunday evening but the waiter worked hard to ensure everyone's needs were catered for. Great seafood as promised. But a special treat the Soufflé and Cheese to...More

This is one of the best meals of sea bass, I have ever had in a restaurant! The bass, their "signature dish" is prepared incased in coarse rock salt and then baked yet it is not at all salty! Once the staff breaks open the...More

Description
Brasserie La Lorraine restaurant right on Paris Place des Ternes near the Etoile offers a visit to another era, an elegant, superbly stylish one at that. Since the 1930s Brasserie La Lorraine has been one of the capitals landmarks, and it retains its fabulous Art Nouveau interior with hundred year-old mosaics, crystal chandeliers, sleekly styled seating and detailing (think ocean liner of the Noel Coward era and you wont be far off). The classic brasserie menu features fine ingredients in dishes like fresh oysters, grilled entrecote with barnaise and pommes frites, and babas au rhum, though the seafood is renowned for its excellence. Theres a terrace and everything is service with the personal touch.
