We spent 2 days in Paris as part of our tour package. This was the restaurant where we had our farewell dinner. The place was elegantly decorated. The food was absolutely delicious, not to mention the desserts. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. It was a very nice way to end our visit to Paris.

I have wanted to go here for a few years because it is one of the oldest restaurants in Paris. The restaurant looks lovely from the outside, and the dining room is classic, simple French design. I got there at 8 for my reservation and noted that I was the only foreigner in the restaurant. This changed over the course... More

On my first night in Paris, I walked to this historical restaurant (reputed as the most antique of Paris), a typical bistro, had soup à l'oignon, magret de canard, and mango and citron vert sorbet for dessert. Everything served perfectly, at a reasonable price (around 50-60 euros with wine (demi-bouteille). You can read about the place's history, going back to... More

This appears to be a family owned restaurant and it is exceptional! I especially loved the Café Gourmand. My friend and colleague Jodie Hedrick wrote of it: I love food that makes me smile and nothing makes me smile more than dessert! What's better than one dessert? Three or four, voilà! My absolute favorite dessert in France is the Café... More

My husband and I were in Paris for the last few days of our honeymoon and we knew that La Petite Chaise had to be part of our culinary plans. It was just up the street from our hotel and my husband's boss said that if we ate anywhere in Paris, it had to be here. Of course, he was... More

A small French bistro off the beaten path by just a few steps, excellent food and amazing service! It gets a WOW, how I wish we had food, service this good in the Hamptons, without the Hamptons prices!

We had escargots and goat cheese as a starter and cod and sea bass as a main course. This is typical French cuisine. Pure ingredients, no fuss, just good food. The panna cotta with sea salt caramel is delicious. Prices are reasonable and correct. The history of the house (to be found in the back of the menu) adds some... More

A friend of mine, who studied in Paris, told me some years ago that La Petite Chaise has the best onion soup all over France. And IT HAS. Just ask the owner to explain to you how much time you need in order to make th perfect soup. I've been there some times and I was never disappointed. Even I've... More

We read about this restaurant on a David Lebovitz blog before coming to Paris and wanted to try it out. Per his recommendation we stopped by the restaurant to make a reservation for a meal while we were out sightseeing. We loved everything about the restaurant. The staff were attentive, the restaurant itself was bright and cheerful and the food... More
