Amazing coffee. Probably some of the best in Paris. The barista is very nice and also speaks fluent English for all you tourists. They have other pastries that are good.

I visited this Café with an American friend. After taking my friends order, he made me wait only to complain afterwards, why I hadn’t ordered at the same time as my friend. Someone needs to teach this guy some netiquette, so here it goes: when...you see a customer, usually it’s your job to ask them what they’d like to order, not vice versa. Donc, he immediately switched to English with me (despite me being a French speaker) and continued to complain. Absolute childish behavior. Lattes at this place are prepared with powder. For a lack of better words, a disgusting experience, since said powder wouldn’t even dissolve and instead remained floating on the bottom of the beverage. I highly advice against visiting this place.More
Great coffee shop. Excellent cakes and thoroughly pleasant staff too. Would highly recommend for a proper coffee. Would also recommend the cardamom pastry/bun. All-in-all a great stop off when in town.
I am using this account for the first time just to write about this cafe because the staff here lied to me so that they could make more money. While I was ordering, I asked (in French, I am bilingual) whether there was WiFi and...whether I could use it. He said that there was, and gave me the name of the network. But only after I paid and sat down did he come up to me 20 minutes later to say that since it was a public holiday, he had turned off the WiFi, and nothing worked on my laptop. Not providing WiFi is fine, but the problem is that I had asked in advance to make sure, and he had lied so that I would buy something, and only after I paid did he tell me the WiFi had been turned off. Moreover, after he told me that he turned off the WiFi, he also told me that he expected a lot of people to come to his cafe soon since it was a holiday and he’s really popular, so I should leave soon. The cafe is cute but the arrogance of the male host / owner alone is a bit shocking. The man who spoke to me that day has a strong British accent in his English, and this how he endears himself to the English-speaking travellers who come across the cafe, which comprise the majority of his clientele, who are then encouraged to write reviews for him. (I watched this literally happen right in front of me when I was sitting down with my latte, trying to get my laptop to work.) So, I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do but I would suggest thinking twice about whether you want to support a business like this.More
I was simply looking for a nice place to chill after hours of walking around… little did I know how nice this place would be! The barista spoke three different languages and was so friendly. The iced coffee I ordered was a life saver and...the shortbread was on another level! I should have ordered too. The vibe was comforting and calm. A great place for breakfasts and afternoon coffee.More
It’s a little button of a place- beautifully curated with a barista who is most definitely a stickler for detail. A bit concerned that we had arrived and he was not yet prepared for the day, he still served magnificent and lovingly prepared espresso and...cappuccino. The high watermark of coffee is here.More
Loustic is a beautiful, quirky, super-cool little cafe in a quiet street in Le Marais. It has a wonderful organic ambience: exposed brick in some parts, only partly rendered in others, decorated with unique objects and art. It feels more like a really cool living...room in someone's home; essentially the polar opposite of Starbucks. We only had coffee here, but both my teenage daughters said it was the best coffee they'd ever had (and we're Australian). If that's not enough, the owner is a super-nice guy who made us feel welcome. I almost didn't want to write this review because popularity can destroy places like this, but Loustic really deserves all the praise it can get. Seriously, this is quite possibly the best cafe in Paris, and you certainly won't be disappointed if you love good coffee.More
We struggled a little to get our Melbourne-style coffees over here. Traditionally, French are focused on espresso and black coffee. This place (UK owner) brings a huge range of modern and popular coffee styles, and is good at it. There is a little food here...(cookies, pastries) if you come at the right time, but don’t rely on this for a big breakfast. Once we struck up conversation, the owner and staff and other customers were friendly and happy to chat. Made it a great place for a morning relaxing coffee.More
I have been working on finding the best coffee places in Paris and Loustic is currently at the top of my list. Despite being a long way away from my place (more than an hour walk) I have already been three three times and I...am impressed with the quality and consistency of the cappuccinos. The place is surprisingly large (for high end coffee places) with lots of places to sit alone or with a small group. They so have some food but the attraction if the coffee.More
Cute little place. Good service. Coffee was somehow not good at all. Glad to find a vegan burrito that was filling. On the expensive side.
From the moment you enter, the owner (he wore a hat), starts bugging you. Very strict orders to sit where, close follow of your moves, etc. Then you see warnings, like in weekends or when it is busy, you can't use wifi, or you cannot...sit in certain tables if you have a computer. Then, if you are with a group of friends, all except one cannot order anything right away, you have to leave. No one deserves this kind of a treatment just because you want to make more profit. If you cannot run this place without beating up your customers, who you obviously do not care if they come back, as they are mostly tourist, maybe you should just close it down. Very crowded and small place with no proper ventilation. Coffee was just ok.More
Are you serious about quality coffee? Loustic is your place. Even with the attention to the art of coffee being unsurpassed the baristas are warm and friendly.
This hidden gem is just around the corner from the Pompidou Centre. Great coffee Great selection of cakes. Very small and not great to stay in on a hot day, but if hot just get a takeaway. Perfect coffee. A must try for coffee lovers.
Seriously I know it so only coffee but it’s so gooood! No bitterness, really round and full taste. And the friendliest barista in Paris! Don’t get ripped off at Starbucks, wall that extra five minutes up the road and get something special!
Tried here today and was a fantastic latte and cappuccino. If you like a decent coffee and friendly service this place is a must
