We went to Le Rempart for lunch, and it was the best thing we did. It has delicious food for nice value for money. I think the Entrée was perfect: The Foie Gras + fig compote + salad + toasts was amazing. The main was beef (and it was perfect). The dessert was something like cake with rom (a little... More

We were lucky to choose this small bistro among the variety around in Bastille. Busy but we are served quickly by the friendly waiter. Ceviche de saumon fume and avocado starter was delicious and the steak cooked to perfection!

Made a reservation via Tripadvisor; we were well received in this French bistro. Honest and fresh food served with a smile. Very friendly for our kids as well; no special kids menu, but the chicken is recommended for them. Confit de Canard is very good as well. Discount was made as well via reservation. Decent wines.

Random choice but it did the trick. Duck was good, beef was hardly prime cut but passable, desserts were consistently strong. Beer and wine lists met our needs. Good attentive service and explanations in French or English. Good for the price in the area.

Good food is not big news in Paris, as most local restaurants serve good food. Nice atmosphere is also something we came to expect. However, the combination of good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service and reasonable price, is big news, at least for us. We had dinner at Le Rempart, two MENU dinners and a pichet of red house wine... More

A great spot for watching passers by, this little cafe offers a good breakfast with pancakes as well as croissants, or an omelette freshly made for you. Good service and well supported by the locals.

Schooners of beer and a good crowd drew us in to this cafe from the street. Service was friendly and beer was cold. An odd mix of American rock music complemented the indoor ambiance.

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
