On our first trip to Paris this cafe was the first place we stopped in for refreshments after a long day of travelling and sight seeing. We only had quick drinks here but we enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and spoke English, which was great as our French is weak! We sat inside and enjoyed the Aircon. The... More

After a day viewing the Louvre we stopped for a fabulous lunch and wine. We will return to this lovely cafe on our return trip.

The best service we have recieved in Paris so far! The food is excellent as well. Thank you for making us feel so welcome in a city that has been rather unwelcoming to us so far😊

A nice way to spend an hour after walking around Paris. The raspberry tart was yummy. Good views of the Seine and close to La Louvre

Went in during the day for a quick snack. Staff was really friendly and checking upon us frequently. Had the Onion soup and Foe gras and both were quite good. Service was fast and for the price I would say food was ok. Nice atmosphere.

Our wi-fi was not working when we stopped in to get a late lunch. This was a terrible meal and for this location, embarrassing for the proprietor. The Evian water (5,00) was priced almost as the 1664 beer (5,20). Okay. I get it. But then we get to the meal. Spaghetti Bolognaise ... Pasta prepped earlier and left to dry... More

The attention of the waiters was amazing they was selling to me magnific food, when I received my CESAR SALAD, I was incredible disappointed the yolk of the egg was black (as just half an egg on my salad) the sauce was just a kind of oil or greasy sauce and just 4 slices of chicken (yes slices, like cheese... My wife and I decided to walk from our visit to Notre Dam to the Louvre. Along the way, we came across Cafe le Corona, which is near the Louvre on the Seine. The "street hustler" bringing people into the restaurant should have been clue one, the laminated menu should have been clue two. The meal was unspectacular. I had... More

This place is absolutely dreadful. Words cannot describe how bad and awful it was. The 'quality' of meat was the worst we have ever encountered as it was absolute tripe. When we pointed this out to staff, the waiters made such a scene. Our waiter tried to blame us and started bashing our plates and cutlery around. The whole experience... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
