Excellent meal shared with friends. Yes, the room is small and filled, so I do not recommend for a romantic meal. Quality products.

We stumbled across this Mauritian restaurant exploring the side streets around our hotel. It was fabulous, really enjoyed the wine the food and the service was exceptional. So friendly, informative and attentive. Top marks for this one!

We found this in a book of the 'best restaurants in Paris' in our hotel. It was one of those books where each place pays to have a page in the book, so not an independent assessment. Reunion is an island off the coast of Africa. The food is supposed to be typical of the island. Definitely not French cooking.... More

Just near the beginning of rue Daguerre (named after the inventor of photography) is this beautiful and homely little restaurant serving not French food. If you are missing the flavours of the tropics such as rice, chilli then you can come here and feel quite homesick!! Beautiful food and wonderful staff. No frites!!!!

I had the "Formule Midi" lunch - 3 courses with a choice of 3-4 dishes for each plus a 500ml pichet of house white wine. Total 21.50€. Enjoyable and excellent value.

I like our DOM-TOM places but it is often difficult to find the right balance of not too exotically spicy and genuine flavors... Well l'ile de Le Reunion does that! Real and delicious while not overly trying - in one world subtle... The service is attention ate while not rushing... I highly recommend the "crabe farci" first and I had... More

If you have never tasted Reunion Island cuisine before then this is definitely the place to start. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the menu varied and according to our host representative of the cuisine from the island. The selection of local rums is well worth a tasting. Come early as the restaurant fills up quickly.

After going to the theatre nearby, we stopped here to try something out of the ordinary for Paris. The food was tasty and interesting, service was good and the prices were not terrible. The Pina Colada was as creamy and delicious as a Pina Colada should be. Both of our proteins, a lamb masala and pork belly in a sweet... More

A nice place to go for a different experience in Paris. The food was quite good and there were some nice vegetarian options. It is a nice place to go with friends for a unique dining experience, other than the typical Parisian cafes.

This restaurant is situated on a very busy street. Keep walking through all the pizzerias and brasseries on Daguerre street and you will find a great little place called Restaurant île de la Réunion. The food is great, tasty and full of flavors. Prices are reasonable. Try one of their home made punch (with rhum !!) as an apéritif, simply... More

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
