Me and my wife enjoyed our meal here - slight delay in getting out table but free kir royals while waiting are always a nice gesture 😀 both enjoyed the food and 2 courses for 25.50 euros is very good value in Paris, my wife loved her lamb dish. If we are back in Paris we will paying another visit.

My wife and I happened by this restaurant on our recent visit to Paris and were truly impressed by the service provided to us by Cho Cho and Delphine. Much more than waitresses, they took the time to translate the menu in full for us and were more than patient with our requests which was no trouble at all to... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, just a short walk away.we were greeted by a very friendly lady who made us very welcome and spoke good English and went through the fixed price menu. We had 2 courses garlic mushrooms and beef in red wine which was delicious.it was reasonably priced so went back the next night New Year's Eve... More

The service was friendly and very attentive. The food was just ok. Those who had steaks found them a bit tough. Those who had the fish were happy with their choice.

Unlike some of the tourist traps Bistro des Campagnes doesn't have to pretend to be French. It had been recommended by our nearby hotel and turned out to be a good call. We were greeted cheerfully by our host who said in response to our request for an English menu "I am the English menu" and was as good as... More

Went by reviews and it was quite a find. We were lucky we got a table. Very small place and could see that it was a locals favorite. The owner does everything from greeting customers, tending the bar, kitchen and everything else in between . The meal was excellent and we went by the waitress recommendations. could not ask for... Good French cooking and decent wines at a very fair price. Plenty of choice from a fixed price (2 or 3 course) menu though some dishes with small supplements. Friendly, welcoming and generous staff create a great atmosphere and we had a memorable evening. Will certainly return when next in Paris.

Our hotel was around the corner on the Boulevard Raispail and the hotel staff recommended this place for lunch (or dinner). It's near the Vavin and Raispail stops on the Metro. It is a typical, crowded French bistrot, where everyone is sitting elbow-to-below. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We had lunch and would recommend the foie gras, sea bass... More

We went with a good size group for dinner and this by far one of the best restaurants I've eaten at near Montparnasse Tower. The restaurant offered meat vegetarian and fish dishes and had a great wine selection as well. I would certainly recommend this place two other colleagues friends and family who are visiting that area. I had a... More

We stayed nearby, and the hotel staff recommended Bistrot des Campagnes. The first visit, friendly staff presented full meals with grace and humor. I had pork terrine followed by pork cheeks, both of which were great, and Robin had Salmon tartare followed by a chicken leg with Tartalle pasta. We had a wonderful chocolate mousse as dessert. On our second... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
