People expecting fine dining at boco, because the dishes are created by Michelin Star chefs, are missing the point. Its website says “boco is first of all a neighborhood parisian restaurant, where you can enjoy sitting down for a moment, grabbing a bite to eat, having a drink on your own, with a date or with a great group of... I was told that basically this is an eating concept to make high end French cooking accessible to the mainstream and that the people behind it are also behind some real high end dining elsewhere. It makes sense! The idea is that you can buy lunchtime sized portions of pre-prepared food which is of a high quality and good recipes.... More

It may be an interesting and clever concept but the food tasted like leftovers. It was bland and the textures unappealing. Understand going in that you will select your meal from jars and have the staff heat them for you. We had one selection that was still chilled in the middle. Portions are small and prices high. If you must... More

Five three star chefs were recruited to develop the amazing plates in this concept bistro. You can actually have a great French meal without putting a hole in your wallet. Try the boeuf parmentier (shepards pie) it's excellent. My other half had the polenta lasagna, also excellent . Nice wine menu and to top it off we both had the black... More

It was our first time coming to this style of cafe so it was a little overwhelming at first. A staff member came and helped us, she was great. Using the usual hand signals we worked it out... first you choose what you would like to eat then if its a hot selection they heat it up for you and... More

Great place and food. The concept of offering healthy plates with recipes from 3 Michelin star chefs is amazing. If you are in for new tasting and healthy food, this is the place.

A great- stop during our Paris walking tour to discover this amazing food concept. Gourmet recipes created by stared chefs coming in glass containers. All the produce are organic and the dishes very creative. Nice and cheap for good quality.

So - new food experiences - Paris. Can't say I ever saw this one coming. Boco is the brainchild of restaurateurs who got Michelin-starred chefs to create some dishes...to put in glass jars...to put in the fridge. "The food is in the fridge." You come in, you pick what you want out of the fridge, and the staff ring you... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
