On each trip we always return here. Le Chalet Saint-Michel is reliably good. This visit we had roast chicken, fondue, steak and desserts. Each dish was perfectly prepared. Service is excellent and helpful. I enjoy the relaxed restaurant and always have a good time here.

Didnt expect much because cheap price (12,90 eur menu) but the food and service turned out to be more than fantastic and it was better than some of the more expensive restaurants. If you are looking for a good place for a 3 course menu...i can reccomend this place.More

We found the staff to be courteous and professional and enjoyed our meals here. The escargot was delicious. We loved their salad and the fondue was fantastic. Very large portions. They offer a prix fixe menu which we did one night. This is not a...5 star dining experience but the prices are very reasonable and the food was very good.More

We had the worst meal in Paris! Very unfriendly service, cold food directly from the fridge, we had to ask to heat our dish. don´t go there!!

When one goes to a restaurant, expects to be joyfully welcomed and served. That's not the case in this one. The waiter looked less than happy to be there. And it looked like it wansn't just him. I had been there before, but I won't...be going there next time. Food was very good though.More

Terrible food We went for lunch every course was terrible I had the set menu smoked salmon salad with a slice of packet cold salmon paper thin and a boiled potatoe then and some greens The main was a very very thin over cooked piece...of tough steak with some garlic butter and some potatoes and a vegetable mix I wouldn’t eat Dessert I had creme caramel and mine had an ant floating in the sauce The food lacked finesse and flavour the best part was the bread free on the table my partner got the cheese for dessert it came out with 3 bits cheese a pack of butter and nothing else to put the cheese on My partner had the duck with pepper sauce and could not work out if it was even duck Cody over €60 for lunch disappointedMore

Absolutely terrible, packet fondue, supermarket charcuterie and vacuum packed potatoes. Wine is extremely expensive but I suppose you can’t mess a Chablis up. The toilets themselves were clean but the bathroom they are housed in is dirty and desperately need upgrading. Service is poor and...no one interacts with you.More

We wondered what this would be like after reading some of the reviews which suggested it had gone down hill and wasn’t as good. We ate there three times in our eight days in Paris on this trip. The atmosphere is still as wonderful as...ever. Still very French. Extensive menu and helpful staff. The meal on the first night was REALLY GOOD. The big lunch the four of us had on Sunday was the best meal we had in Paris by far - and it was under 50 euros, including drinks. We ate in some very highly recommended and expensive restaurants on other days. None of them was anywhere near as good the Chalet St Michel’s Sunday offerings. Our third meal, on Thursday lunchtime wasn’t quite so great, but it was still OK (and better than anything else we had in Paris). Go here, try the cheaper combination menus. Superb value for money.More

It had been over a year since we visited the restaurant but our first welcome was very warm, despite the busy time of day. My husband brought me back to Paris for my birthday and top of my wish list was the Chalet St Michel...as I had very fond memories of a previous visit. It more than lived up to those memories, all three times we ate there (and we were only in Paris for a week!). Our best meal was a fab onion soup, raclette, moules avec frites meal we all shared with a couple of verre aux vin and lovely fresh baguette. The waiting staff are fantastic and work so hard to make every persons experience the best it can be. I even heard the waiter giving some very good advice to two young girls about how to place their bags while eating to keep their bags secure. I hope to return soon xMore

Got to this place by accident, it was a rainy autumn day in Paris. Happy Hour menu: French Onion soup, red wine meat with potatoes & a dessert. 5 stars for the soup, for sure; the meat was great at the first part, 2nd was...too dry, the dessert was so so. The service was OK, not much English, but very helpful. Would get back for the soup again.More
