The place doesn't look like much and the price lowered my expectations, but the 5 courses I had for dinner were all fantastic. Will definitely go again

This tiny neighborhood restaurant provides the kind of fantastic meal you would expect at a starred restaurant. It is a bit off the beaten path just south of the botanical gardens. During our visit we noted a mix of visitors and locals. L'Agrume has perhaps 8 tables that surround an open kitchen. The decor was minimal but the food was... More

Our dining experience was kind of awkward. There was no music so we ate in a strange silence. The food was certainly good, but not really worth the trip (the restaurant was far from our apartment and not near much else we were interested in). The staff was great and very hard working, but I was ultimately kinda unimpressed.

I was not prepared for how fabulous this place is. We needed to find a place close by our apartment on our last night in Paris. After a week we'd had some very good food, but I was hoping to go to one place that blew my mind. I had given up on that. Then we went to L'Agrume, knowing... More

Our fall, 2016 dinner, the first since… Rereading comments from 4 visits 2011-2013, some has changed, some not. Price for 5 courses now 45€, up from 40€. An amazing value. No more wife. Instead, a competent server. Still 28 seats, including bar seats at the pass virtually in the small kitchen watching the chef perform a tightly wound, completely focused... More

I randomly chose this restaurant on my way to an art exposition at Ludique. I followed my own guide to "good restaurants" in paris: small, cozy, family owned/chef owned style... and of course, as soon as you see a michelin guide recommendation on the door, you are assured to be on the right track. I took the 5 course menu... More

L'agrume was recommended to us by the owner of Cézembre when we couldn't get a last minute reservation for my wife's birthday. It was an excellent recommendation. The chef created a wonderful five-flight tasting menu at very reasonable price (for Parisian standards). It's located a bit out of the Latin Quarter, which might have explained why it wasn't packed on... More

Here I am, three years after my last review of L'Agrume, and this jewel of a restaurant still is my husband's and my favorite in Paris. We visit Paris regularly, and this is the only restaurant where we eat twice each trip. The chef, who trained at the famed Le Bernardin in New York and the Plaza Athénée in Paris,... More

The reviews were excellent so we had to try it out. I was certainly not disappointed... Quite the opposite.Simple food of the finest quality cooked to perfection. We took the 5 course tasting menu which included a first course of tartare of tuna, crab and avacado..great flavour...also a piece of St.Pierre with peas...could not be more basic but it was... Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
