So happy we decided to try this restaurant, the food was delicious - can't wait to return next time I visit my son who conveniently lives just round the corner :) I chose the fish of the day which was beautifully cooked and my son had the duck which he said was the best he's had. I nearly passed on... More

I have been to this restaurant before and wanted to visit again on my recent trip. I had a group of 6 but 2 of the group had reservations elsewhere. At the last minute they decide to dine with us. There was no problem accommodating our larger group. The fixed menu had several options and all were excellent. As always... More

...but surprisingly elegant cuisine. Great for a casual dinner. We really enjoyed it. It was a quiet evening with few other guests. The experience may be different when it is busy.

Came across this cafe by accident while looking for a place for lunch. Turned out to be a great find. Very good french food that was well priced for the location (on a side street just off the Seine).

Wife and me were looking for some real French food for our last night in Paris, stumbled on this place, wasn't disappointed, great service, lovely little place full of character, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Well recommended.

We had to flee the first level to escape the terrible piano player and equally bad vocalist that made pleasant dining and conversation impossible. We ask for a table on the second level ducking under low wood beams to be seated. The server kindly removed the cat's litter box which was initially under our table. This was a Saturday night,and... This is one of the unique restaurants I regularly visit in Paris. Not far from the Louvre and the river and close to all the pet shops (if your little friend travels with you like mine does). The interior is magical, especially the second floor (or mezzanine), with only 5-foot headroom and exposed large beams make it a bit of... More

A small restaurant with such a common name, but it turned out to be such a good place with good food. We tasted soup of the day, the snails, the foie gras, the salad, the beef, the fish, all were delicious. The desserts were really really good as well. More bonus point for food decor, very nice :)

All three generations of my family enjoyed the food, the wonderful service and the location next to Ile de la Cite. Our French friend was impressed with our choice of an authentic French restaurant. Our friend Mary had recommended it and it was a memorable meal.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
