Went with my mum for lunch. Just one course, special of the day, Thai beef salad. Fill you up really well, plenty of beef. The wine was really nice. Good service. The menu has plenty of french dishes as well which look good too. Recommended

This is one of those small, pleasant Parisian restaurants that line many of the streets of the Marais district--with a European menu, nice wine selection and terrific local atmosphere. We stopped in for an early evening meal at an outside table--great for relaxing and people watching. Our dinners were delicious! The chicken and sauce were mouth watering, and portions just... More

We discover this restaurant fortuitously and we were not deceived. The tenant was really nice and friendly and the food delicious! The lemon dessert is a must! The prices are quite high but they match with the quality.

The waiter at the bar was not friendly at all (maybe because he thought I was a tourist) and I had very bad experience in this place. Also, when I had to pay the bill, they forced me to pay in cash, claiming that their credit card machine was not working.

Every tourist is welcome to Petit Marcel to have a local meal as we are situated in a touristique area! We are sorry but under 20 euros we can't accept cards. Paying in a restaurant for what you asked is correct! More

Everything was at least fair nothing fantastic. Pleasant service, helpful. Skirt steak was served rare though medium requested and too chewy but ribeye was succulent. Roasted chicken was tender juicy and spiced appropriately. House Bordeaux and Chablis were good value.

Thankyou very much for your opinion. We are sorry for the skirt steak but usually the "bavette" is stringy, perhaps, but nevertheless delicious very popular with French clients and always served rare. We hope to welcome you back again. More

We've been stopping by at Le Petite Marcel since 2012. In an area overrun with poor food and dining experiences it continues to stand out for its honest and simple french classics. We also love the setting and reasonable pricing. It's great value.

After a visit to Pompidou it was time for a late lunch. This was the perfect spot. Small attractive space with a classic French menu. Professional service. Lots of regulars miixed with tourists. Everyone made to feel welcome. We ordered eggs mayonnaise, steak with rice and pot au feu. Everything well prepared and perfectly seasoned. Also delicious coffee. Will definitely... More

Popped in here for a quick (but very late) breakfast. The waiter assured me it was not too late for coffee and a croissant while I waited for the gallery to open. My order arrived promptly and was very good. The best part of my breakfast, however, was sitting on the terrasse of this lovely, quaint little bistro and watching... More

Good, warm and welcoming parisian bistrot with basic typical bistrot menu. The foie gras and onion soup were very good. So was the tartare allez retour. I will probably go back soon

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
