A great hidden gem in the Opera district. The food was fantastic and staff was friendly and welcoming.

Go to Georges for a scene and the scenery, both of which cannot be beat. The views from their patio and dining room are stunning. The scene is that of "beautiful people," actual and wannabe celebs included. The food was slightly disappointing though. In particular,...More

Great location and massive portions. Just that the food was a bit below expectations considernig this was the Opera location. It was decent, but did not have this extra kick you expect in a gourmet country.

A family run restaurant with outstanding food and service. What a great time had by my family and I. The owner's daughter was there and visited the table a few times. The decor featured well lit art by a local artisan. The waitress spoke English...More

We had dinner here several times when we visited Paris. We go back to this place for delicious meals with reasonable price and for friendly service. I had an onion soup as a starter, and it was very good not too heavy, but the portion...More

On an extremely hot July evening this was an oasis of calm and air-conditioned comfort. The patron is a character and very helpful. A good varied menu and excellent value. Never once felt hurried. Will go again and again.

Have been a few times and Georges never fails. A warm welcome, personal friendly service plus an interesting and varied menu. For the location it is also great value for money although the wine prices are typical Parisien - i.e. high! Reasonable room between tables...More

The charm of George and the excellent meals makes this a satisfying place to dine. We were enchanted. For a country boy from the outback in New Zealand it was a delightful new experience. Good food. Good wine. Live music. And George!! What more could...More

Having seen the encouraging tripadvisor reviews, we expected something very different to what we experienced. The food was bland and disappointing (apart from the nicely flavoured sea bream), the decor was tired, the chairs uncomfortable and the atmosphere dull (despite a live pianist who did...More

The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle

modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros

Description
Georges Opera restaurant and piano bar in Paris in the fabulous district between the Opera and the Place Vendome offers a gastronomic experience in a warm, attractive milieu. The decor is simple and smart, with creamy-coloured walls, modern art works, dark velours banquettes, and the presence of the piano for live music each evening. The menu changes with the market and the seasons, and is essentially French cuisine terroir, though there is a special emphasis on dishes of Portugal, like cassolette of prawns Algarve style, two types of cod, as well as foie gras in port. There really is a Georges here, and he will welcome you and make your dining experience a seamlessly pleasant one.
