This beautiful bakery has the best, most buttery palmiers in all of Paris. It's worth a trip just to have one of these!

Paul is a french variation of Starbucks in France, but nicer, more cosy and with so many delicious pastries and fresh bread. I love the fact that you can literally find Paul at every corner in every neighborhood. So whenever you're hungry for baguette or want to get a cup of coffee and giant pistachio macaroon you can never go... More

I stopped by to grab coffee, which was the best I had in the city. The pastries looked wonderful but I didn't try any.

It still wouldn't be as good as Paul! There are Paul's all over the city, at the airport, train station and so on, so I was avoiding them. I wanted to eat at local cafe's and restaurants, not a chain! However, we ended up at the Gare de Lyon with limited time to grab lunch, so stopped in. Delicious sandwiches!... More

Here you will find the best pastries in all of Paris. I stopped in for a baggett lunch. Unlike many of the lunches I had in Paris, theirs was made of fresh baked bread. The value was excellent. A sandwich, drink and pastry for only eight euros.

We stopped at Paul's bakery before our flight to Barcelona and picked up croissants, quiche and mini beignets. All were fantastic and very fresh. We will make it a point to stop here again when visiting Paris. I highly recommend stopping in and trying a pastry.

Thank Isaiah A

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
