We made a reservation for dinner. At that time he spoke perfect English. When we arrived we were not seated in the restaurant but in the bar area on old, worn, torn sofas. Then we were told that the kitchen did not open for another hour. When we reminded him we had made reservations he suddenenly couldn't speak English and... More

Good quality food, but more of a bar than a restaurant. Nice atmosphere, but on a busy Thursday evening only one waitress was serving around 12 tables, so long waiting times.

We are visiting Paris for 10 days. This place is around the corner from our hotel. We happened to walk in looking for a casual dinner. The chef/ sous chef is trying on presentation. Not what I expected from a restaurant going for the falling apart chic look. We each ordered different cuts of beef. My husbands order came with... More

If you're looking for a cafe that's near a monument but not right next to it, and you want to have an authentic experience, this is the perfect little Parisian Cafe. Good food, locals coming in and out all the time, great soundtrack and decent prices--not to mention the totally hipster/chic assortment of chairs--you can't go wrong with this place.... More

My family had a late lunch here in April. We were stying in an apartment nearby and this resturant was often on our walking path so its unsual decor made want to try it out. Even at 3.30 PM the inside was well patronised. As we had our 13 year old son, the attraction of thier variety of bugers drew... More

One clumsy waiter for 20 tables. Waited 20 minutes before ordering. Waiter horribly busy, runs around, never comes to check on you. The whole back roomed is covered in fumes coming from the cuisine. Waiter pours red wine on my worksheets, pants, doesn't care. They tried to change my place twice while I was eating. Another 20 min of waiting... More

It's a bit of organized chaos at Le 138, what with all the bric-à-brac décor and atmosphere. But as a place to hang out at for a drink or coffee, it's a very cool bar! They have a longer happy hour than most places in the area, which makes it a good bet to start the evening! =)

Since the kitchen was destroyed in june by an electric fire, the whole place has been nicely refurbished and offer a nice set with plenty of seats. Prefer the windows seats to have a look on the boulevard. The menu is so wide and various that you can't expect everything to be prepared on demand... microwave owens are "dinging" here.... More
