Really disappointing this brewery As a starter “perfect egg in meurette”, when the dish arrives the egg is cold and slightly overcooked (yolk a little firm), I naively ask if it is normal for the egg to be straight, he answers yes but what he can warm it up!!! The sauce, I prefer not to talk about it, is made from an industrial preparation (except the onions and bacon). Total rubbish. The rest (tartare) is passable and the prices too high for the quality, not recommended for eating well

Very warm welcome, friendly waiter, tablecloth and cloth napkins, it has become very rare Onion soup good, nothing more. “Homemade” duck leg confit, I’m not sure, average. I love candied duck legs, I buy canned ones from an IGP producer and they are excellent. A very positive point, the potato fondant was excellent. Excellent rum baba.

If it was good enough for expats in the 1920s, why not?! But it is not just about history and imagining seeing Hemingway or Fitzgerald at the American Bar, the food does not disappoint. Our table had royal dorade over spinach, burrata salad and escargot, os au moelle, and the poulet fermier - all were enjoyed - and I tried a bit of everyone's. I thought our waiter was a bit severe but not surly - maybe he has encountered too many people who expect a more gracious reception. Then again, was it really that different a 100 years ago?

An experience that can at least be called 'special'. The full French experience. For just under 220 euros (with 6 people) you get unadulterated impatience and indifference from your French waiter, who clearly scored no higher than a five in the French hospitality course. Our sincere apologies to our waiter that we are not from Paris. The famous French cuisine is also hard to find, unless Risotto should be undercooked and chicken should be bone dry. But yes, Risotto is Italian. We had high expectations for the 36 euro steak. Let me list all the positive things: 1. the fries are tasty. 2. … Pity!

Cocktail for more than 16 euros served on a small used cardboard with some poor pretzels and olives in congruous quantity. the daiquiri was so acidic I reported it and the bartender brought me the sugar!! If you want to have a good time enjoying a quality cocktail avoid this address!!!

Perhaps unintentional, but very unwelcoming. They seemed to be very understaffed. The server spoke little English and was too busy to try explain the menu to us. We wanted a smaller bottle of water to start because we were planning to order wine. The server brought a big bottle and three glasses covered in questionable water marks and stains. We asked to change for a smaller bottle and the server said a bunch in French but did help us change, but he left so quickly before we can even mention the glasses. After the water came I tried to get his attention to order, but he ran off again and ignored us for 15 min. By then we were fed up with the service and dirty glasses, so we just stood up and left.

Terrible. First of all we were badly received with a rather neglected and unwarm leader. Then most desserts were no longer available. I asked for a gourmet coffee and was told about a tiramisu, a small lemon meringue pie and a financier. I had a dry macaroon, a strange cold and compact almond cake and an overcooked and cold fondant!!!! A nice waiter but a little overwhelmed by the world they had received in the evening and another who cashed who forgot to be warm!!!! A reputation that cannot be earned

Back from vacation, we resume our weekend habits. What a pleasure to come celebrate birthdays in this mythical Parisian brasserie. We have a drink (the bartender's cocktails), a meal, a coffee... the menu is open to all tastes. And the dishes of the day make it possible to escape if you want. On the terrace or in the theatre, you are always well received, and you always have the Impression of being a Contributor waiting for your publisher, or a theatre company celebrating the general. Congratulations to all the team who know how to hold the professional service in good spirits.

A loyal customer since 1993, I had dinner at the Select the other night and it was abysmal. My hamburger was practically raw and my daughter's entrecôte was half fat and gristle. I attribute this to Paris in August. It must have been the B or C team in the kitchen and the B team on the floor. We did our best to get through the meal. When one server came to ask about my food, I showed her the disaster that was left for dead on my plate (see photo) and asked for the bill. I never saw her again. 20 minutes later I asked another server for the bill. 67.40 Euros for one 25cl beer, one terrible entrecôte and one "incontournable" cheeseburger. It was bad enough to have to eat it; it was worse to have to pay for it. I was happy to leave. During the rest of our visit to Paris the dinner experience at the Select became a running joke, as in, "Want to try that place?" "Sure, it can't be as bad as the Select." Come on, guys, I know it's August in Paris, but have a little pride in your work.

I've always liked Le Select equally with its better known competitors in the area, e.g. La Rotonde, Le Dome, La Coupole..... My wife and I visited twice this past October and were not disapointed. Excellent fish dishes on the menu, beef looked great on other tables. I contented myself with an admirable gratinee (onion soup). We sta around the corner on the re Delambre twice and year and always visit Le Select. We will cotninue to do so.

It's a Parisian landmark restaurant with a nice ambiance. I would recommend it for a drink but not for a meal. Their food used to be good but now they've hiked their prices and lowered the quality of the food. I had dinner with friends and was amazed on how obvious the ingredients of the food was mediocre. For example, a starter of oysters (6 for 27 euros) were of low quality, the plat du jour we chose- scallops with spinach and gnocci (32 euros) was tasteless, and a plate of assorted cheese (21 euros) included 3 types of cheese- goat cheese, which was inedible, a brie and saint nectaire were all of poor quality. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy the bottle of wine we selected.

It has been several times that we have lunch in this place with friends during our visit to Paris. We are never disappointed. Desserts are especially good, which is often rare in breweries. The service is impeccable and the staff very knowledgeable. Today was the first day of our waiter, congratulations to him and good luck. We'll be back soon.

I was able to taste excellent free-range chicken there, which is becoming rather rare in restaurants. The staff is efficient, despite the always large number of customers. The day before, I had already had lunch at Sélect with a friend. We were also quickly served. On the other hand, the rating is a little excessive.

This is the right place if you want sardines served in a can. In this restaurant we were informed that this is part of the tradition of French cuisine. The onion soup was good. Unfortunately, the vegetables with the fish fillet were cold and tasteless. We only ate half, paid and left quickly.

We enjoyed our dinner at Le Select on Montparnasse. We had a 7:30pm res for a Wednesday night and didn’t need it. The Host and our waiter were both quite attentive. I had the roast chicken and my wife had sea bass, served with a side of arugula salad and fries. We shared a bottle of Cote de Provence Rose. Good food and wine at a fair price. Great vibrant neighborhood, and the restaurant was much busier at 8:30 when we left.
