Wonderful dinning experience! Everything was amazing! Best wine I've ever had! Great way to say goodbye to Paris on our last night.

Went here on our last night in Paris with my wife and two college student sons. Had lamb shank which was excellent. Wife and one son had chicken breast and pasta which they raved about. Other son had scallops and pasta also very good. Onion soup was with chicken broth so lighter than some others, but very good. Service was excellent... More

We wen't here together after reading some good reviews on trip adviser. What a disappointment. We ordered spaghetti Bolognese and penne carbonara. Both were bland and disappointing. The carbonara was just cream in a bowl with cut up bacon and the bolognese appeared to be just pureed tomatoes. Can cook better ourselves. The waitress was lovely and the place was... More

We found this restaurant thanks to Trip Advisor, after a fun but cold day spent in Paris. We were able to book a table for 6 online, which was a huge plus for us. The waitress could not have been any more pleasant or accommodating, and we were all very happy to be in a warm, cozy restaurant. We had... More

This is the 3rd time we have eaten at Sorza this year- it's wonderful. Situated on the pretty Île Saint-Louis, Sorza is an intimate and cosy restaurant with a lovely menu and friendly and attentive waitresses. Our waitress this time (the sweet blonde lady) made excellent recommendations which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Chestnut soup was velvety smooth and delicious and... More

I had a great time with friends at this quaint restaurant near Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris early December 2016. We all tried the lunch special for 33 Euros. I enjoyed the soup, the steak, the panna cotta dessert and red wine. Very good value for a restaurant in Paris. There was only one attendant but we got our orders... More

We have eaten here several times over the year and enjoy it every time. It's small and quaint maybe 10-12 tables. The food is really good and the single waitperson did a great job making sure we were well taken care of. Love the tiny Ile St. Louis just behind the Notre Dame. Pleasant street to stroll after dinner with... More

We stopped by to have the famous French onion soup – I wasn't the one we expected! We received a bowl of boiled sliced onions, a piece of toasted bread with some cheese on it on the top. We also tried the risotto and the pasta – not the dishes to remember!

Wonderful warm atmosphere after a long chilly day of site seeing. The Gnocchi with bleu cheese was wonderful as well as the risotto with mushrooms.

Delicious dinner. The waitress was wonderful and fluent in English. She helped us pair a wine and explained the menu. Loved walking through that area of town at night too.

Sorza is in the heart of Ile Saint Louis in Paris not far from Notre Dame. This Mediterranean restaurant is of extremely chic and of exquisite taste. Unlike many French restaurants, this restaurant never stops serving; lunch can stretch throughout the afternoon until it is time for that pre dinner drink. At the weekends brunch is also available. The restaurant plays music throughout the day changing the genre as the day moves on, jazz in the morning and afternoon and lounge music in the evening. The dcor is contemporary and eye catching with black lacquered tables, red walls, candles in little crystal glasses and subtle lighting.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
