Have a table on the terrace and enjoy every moment. Feel like a Parisienne. Incredible pastries, great coffee. Service and ambience have never failed me. Usually it's my first stop every time I'm in Paris. Don't miss their macaroons( Rose and raspberry) and chocolat chaud.

Went here for lunch and had a great meal. But the desserts are simply amazing, try the macaroons and you won't go wrong.

We stopped here, proximity to the Eiffel, for lunch after the ‘Big Bus’ Paris tour, if you want a indoors table for two couples at La Carette on a cold-wet day, be prepared to wait. We loved the atmosphere and food but it’s not cheap. Great coffee and best spot for macarons in Paris, France.

There with business colleagues last week. Proximity to the Eiffel means that this is an expensive place to stop off. I would go for lighter meals here; although they do main courses this isn't something they specialise in so to be avoided. They do have a nice patisserie section which is worthwhile tasting. It's a little cramped again due to... More

With a great location on the Place du Trocadero, this buzzing salon de the is full of tourists and locals alike with outdoor and indoor terrace seating (as well as indoor seating in the back which is warmer but less pleasant) is best for breakfast or an afternoon "gouter". Have a grand creme with a pain au chocolat or better... More

Ever wonder about those chic parisians having coffee, while seating outdoor facing the sidewalks? Carette is one of those places! Make sure you get the seat outside as it overlooks the Eiffel Tower (the Trocadero outlet that is), and order the chocolat chaud and the mille-feuille! they are so good! they are so crowded so be patient on the service... Get a little table and squeeze into Paris life. Location is on the busy Place Trocadero. The metro stop bring up locals and tourists agogo. The French never ask you to leave a cafe, and you must ask for the check before it is brought to you. Linger. Little snacks appear when alcohol drinks are ordered. Small sandwiches come wrapped.... We stopped here for breakfast on our first day in Paris and had a lovely time. The decor was beautiful and christmassy and the food was nice too. Worth mentioning that it was a little pricey but we were in Paris so in part this is to be expected. Would recommend!

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
