A very typical bustling (crazy busy) french cafe, bursting at the seams with locals and tourists alike. Crazy expensive, does what it does well.

We stopped here for breakfast on way to Eiffel Tower. It was busy and buzzing. The most delicious patisserie on display. Service was great as was the food. Prices were a bit high, but it is a tourist area and they can apparently get away...More

This is my first food review I think. Mostly because this place deserves the raves. Go for the macarons and you won't be disappointed. I tried Pierre Herme and Lauduree and the Carette salted caramel flavor just trumps it by a mile! The filling is...More

Cafe Carette should be an experience for all first time travelers to Paris! However the food is okay, the service is not super amazing but they do manage to handle all your needs just as any restaurant would/should. The prices are a bit HIGH... it...More

It was nice for one experience but not worth €40 for two coffees and pastries. There are lots of lovely patisseries in Paris for less than half the price.

Unchanged since it opened in the 1920s it's perfect! The hot chocolate was great and we had the breakfast with "3 mini-pastries"...that weren't very mini - a great choice for those that want to share to save some money.

If you can afford it, it is a great place for dessert and coffee. Everything has high quality and especially macaron, even if it costs 7,5 euros (big macaron)

This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive
Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National
museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill
the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher,
florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury
and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most
famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings
are small art galleries and homes of historical
