We had a party of 9 and had just come from the Eiffel Tower where we had spent the afternoon. The kids were tired and hungry and the parents in dire need of espresso and a nibble. So, we all headed to this famous bistro for a quick sip and a bite as we still had the Arc de Triomphe... More

Love this place! Real paradise for sweet lovers. You can choose to come here to meet a friend for a drink or breakfast and tea-time is also highly recommended to enjoy here! Always full of people, have to be very patient to gain the place on terrasse, but almost always small place available inside.

Very nice cafe, with amazing macarons. I also tried their eclair au chocolat which is also very nice. Would definetely visit it again next time in Paris.

Our friends have long raved about this place where they come for morning coffee and pastries every day. I can now understand. Super-popular. Charming professional service. Extraordinarily good pastries.

Though the location is extraordinary and has a beautiful original design, the food was delicious and the service outstanding to what we are use to have in Paris. Enjoy the crepes with vanilla (natural vanilla) ice cream!!

I have a teacher in his 80s who lived in Paris in the 1950s. He told me about visiting Carette, run by the formidable Madam Carette, who sat behind her little counter at the back, watching and ruling over her staff. Nothing escaped her! The cafe was immaculate, Service excellent and high quality. Amazing coffee hot chocolate and cakes. I... More

This cafe has a good coffee and pastry. The breakfast has enough varieties to choose from but portions are large :)

What a rip off. Rude waitress, coffee cold. Overcharged, 1 coffee, 1 small wine and an eclair to share 25euros ??? Better places to spend your money

Located on "Place du Tracodero", facing Eiffel Tower from right bank: it's the perfect place to start a busy day with a breakfast or a brunch! My happiness was for: 1/ "pain au chocolat" perfectly moist and crunchy at the same time. 2/ Orange juice is freshly squeezed and expected. My deception was for: 1/ Coffee clearly made for US... Neighbourhood Profile
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
