Gotta love these places that are anything but stuffy and exude cool at every turn. Their original specialty is 'the brick', basically a thin crepe wrap around. One may choose from a wide variety of inner ingredients. My tuna version was fantastic. On a coolish day do sit outside and avail yourself of the various warm drinks on the menu.... More

We fell upon this intimate little passageway leading back to Rue de Rivoli on a beautiful blue sky afternoon Sunday in Paris. The management were quick to accommodate everyone who was waiting for a table outdoors. They brought the inside tables outdoors finding available space next to the building and across the passageway to make as many people as happy... More

We almost walked right past this place but I' so glad we didn't! A really cute little cafe just ten minutes away from Notre dame. We had a 'Brick' each, Mine was ham cheese and tomato His was ham and cheese. Not what I was expecting but delicious and filling nonetheless! All the staff were really friendly and helpful, However... More

Cute cafe in a lovely quaint area, just around the corner from our hostel Mije. It was a hot Sunday and two of us were seated at a four seater table. The cafe was busy and this was the only spot left. A brunette waitress came over to serve us and promptly asked us if we were being joined by... More

This small restaurant has also a large terrace and offers only a limited amount of dishes, ... but this is why it's fresh, this is why it's cheap, this is why it is authentic, and this is why lots of people like it! You may also go there just for a coffee or a home-made lemonade

We wanted a simple lunch, and at the recommendation of our hotelier we went to L'Ebouillante. It was a great recommendation. We sat at an outdoor table and each ordered a "brick," one of their stuffed semolina crepes. Mine was ham and cheese; my wife's included more stuff, including vegetables. They were astonishingly good, and at €11-15 an excellent value.... More

After hours of walking, my wife and I enjoyed sitting at this restaurant, having a crepe and wine, and watching the life of the area flow by. The food was good and the waiter gave good tips on the wine selection. The restaurant is not far from the Picasso museum or the River Seine. The prices were moderate and the... More

This place is located between Isle St. Louis and the Marais in an outdoor courtyard that has a few other cafés. Although it is in the center of Paris, it was tucked away so discreetly that it was well away from the hordes of tourists--The crowd seem to be comprised of mostly locals. If you are in Paris on a... Had a quaint lunch of an amazing omelet and yummy smoked salmon salad. Friendly and English speaking and a picturesque little spot.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
