Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an ambitious restaurant where the chef is inventive and not afraid to experiment. The tortelloni with giant prawns was particularly delicious and the lamb cutlets with noisette potatoes also delicious. A millfeuille with a side of creamed asparagus was a little too unusual...for me, but bravo for bending the usual rules!More

To keep it short: Go there if you are looking for quality and creativity in Bastia! First we had foie gras and Sea bream (marinated/ graved salmon style) as a Starter. Foie Gras has been accompagnied by a brioche soaked in cherry schnapps and cherry...confit which harmonized very well. The consistency and the fine taste of the dorade was no less delicious. For the main course we had beef fillet Rossini and a pulled beef hamburger. Everything very finely composed. For dessert there was a special kind of millefeuille with two kinds of cream (apricot and rhubarb) with a sweet asparagus foam. It's a bold combination, but the dish lacked a bit of flavoral intensity. All in all, however, a great evening, which was rounded off by the serving owner and his very friendly manner. As if that wasn't enough, when after half an hour of waiting there was still no taxi, he took us "home" himself. We would come back anytime.More

We found this restaurant via google maps. It did not dissapoint! You can either sit in- or outside. Very cosy! The waiter was very friendly and speaks English (finally). We got an appetizer (salmon with lemon mouse) and after that we shared the buglittice (cheese...balls). My husband had the Veau Tigre and I had the Tortellini Gambas. Everything is fresly made and you can really taste it. The truffle fries are a recommendation. Thank you so much for your lovely service and perfect food!More

Our first meal in Bastia was at Le Petit Zinc and the food was fantastic. I rarely contribute to TripAdvisor, but admit a previous (negative) review about the burger made me think twice — but I’m glad I ignored that review. Ultimately we ended up...dining here 3 nights in a row. It is far better than many of the restaurants with a higher TripAdvisor rating in Bastia. The hospitality was friendly and generous, the restaurant is well designed, feels luxurious, and the food was great. The burger was a highlight with truffle fries. We will be back!More

We ate here for dinner and were disappointed by the food, especially considering the positive reviews. I had the brisket burger which was not tender at all and covered with a thick sauce that drenched the bread. The flavor combinations were puzzling putting a strong...cumin flavored bread with a brisket. Our lamb order was over cooked and covered in a thick heavy sauce that completely masked any hope of recognizing that it was lamb being eaten. We hoped for better.More

Hi, Thank you for you review. First of all, the smoked meat and the lamb are slow cooked at very low temperature so it is very difficult to overcook it with this method. But let’s say you came in a bad day and it was...More

We’d consulted Trip Advisor, but restaurants we fancied were either closed on a Monday or had disappeared. A walk round the old port revealed plenty of busy restaurants but mostly with bad reviews. We’d passed Le Petit Zinc at the beginning of our search but...were slightly put off by the fact that it was empty. Finally we returned and it was still empty, but this time we decided to stay No starters on the menu. So straight to a limited selection of main courses. I had seiche (cuttlefish) with a fruity salad. My wife had a steak. We both enjoyed these but thought they were a little expensive. We were offered desserts but instead chose a cheeseboard to share. The Corsican cheeses were lovely. We’d had 4 glasses of excellent local wine between us and had not enquired as to their price. In fact they were very good value. So finally the bill at 58 Euro was less than we expected. Charming waitress added to the fun.More

After a long day of travelling this restaurant was a perfect place to sit down, relax and have some of the best burgers I ever had (with figue confiture). The food is tasteful and straight forward in a good way, price is fair.

We went here for an evening meal. The menu was small but varied, something for everyone. I had the Entrecôte steak, my companion had the Wok du Moment. Both dishes were prepared and cooked well, there was plenty of flavour and the portions were good....We had a bottle of the local Rosé wine which was very good. All in all a good meal..More

I liked my salad which was Vietnamese. I found the service slow but nice enough. It was not fine dining but the food we had was well prepared. The menu was kind of all over the place. Vietnamese salad, goat cheese salad, chicken spring rolls,...cabillaud au four (fish), burger, beef tartare, entrecote, grilled angus. No appetizers. Only entrees.More

We went here cos high TripAdvisor recommendations. The place is satisfactory and in the centre of town. The waitress was nice and spoke english good enough. The food was tasty especially risotto but steak was a little bit too cold. Desserts were super tasty!

Bastia must be really bad for eating out. This place was perfectly fine and didn"t have the tourist feel. If you've got loud and annoying children please stay at home.

Nice quiet place only a block away from the busy tourists' traps. The restaurant has a small terrace, really small. The house speciality is a calamari salad which is extremely delicious. Tuna tartare is great choice too.
