We have now been going here every year for the past 3 years. Never disappointed! The setting is superb and the food refined, original and great tasting. They generally offer a selection of tasty local cheeses as well!
we enjoyed another great and tasty dinner at i Salti the other night... with or without ⭐️ it remains a highly recommendable address in the Balagne area... charming host Carina with her crew take care of their guests... using regional products of high quality the...dishes are delicious... the menu changes ‘selon la saison’... nicely presented you eat also with your eyes... great value for your money... and the place is quiet with its lush garden for outdoor dining... don’t miss this restaurant... 👍🏻🤩💙More
We had read about this little restaurant whilst planning our trip and so we booked in for a meal. It was a fantastic meal with great service and we sat outside underneath the trees. I had vegetable tart with goats cheese, followed by fillet of...beef and then pain du perdue. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend going here although you need to look carefully to find it.More
Kind of out of the way but that gives you a chance to get to know the Maquis. Little restaurant with a personal touch. You can order off the chalk board for a complete five course menu or a la carte. We chose the later,...having three courses, plenty for us. The langostine appetizer was amazing. In fact all the dishes we had were. Wines were from all over France and quite reasonably priced. The price was high, which you might expect from the 1 Star Michelin, but worth it. They only accept cash, so prepare accordingly.More
But sadly that is not saying a lot. Most Corsican cuisine features great slabs of meat, charcuterie and not much in the way of subtlety. We found it very very hard to eat healthily and well on our 8 day trip to Corsica. Having said...that this place was clearly the best by a long way. The chef/co-owner is from Normandy which might explain why the portions are smaller, the flavours more convincing and the choice better. Situated by the side of small stream adjacent to a 9 hole golf course this restaurant has a definite emphasis on al fresco eating with some tables under a tree and the remainder in an open fronted structure. Staff were pleasant, professional and helpful and the prices reasonable.More
Wow! What a gastronomic experience! Purely divine food of star quality. Fine dining with a Corsican twist.Don't miss the langoustines starter. Affordable given the quality of the food. Starters 20 EUR and mains 35 EUR on average. Cheese platter 10 EUR. Located next to Reginu...Golf Club but in an old mill. Very narrow road to get there, 10 min from Monticello and 20 from L'Ile Rousse. Very relaxed and friendly service, helpful in translating menue to english. Must book table! Don't miss it, worht the detour. Best meal we had on our visit to the Island.More
The tables were set out in a lovely garden. Service was by the very friendly patronne who also spoke excellent English. The menu was short but interesting. We started with the langoustines, one of the most delicious starters we had ever eaten. To follow, my...wife had the sea bass and this was superb. I had an excellent dish with two kinds of pork, the belly pork having perhaps a touch too much fat. I had a delicious chocolate concoction for dessert. The wine was local and excellent value. All in all an exquisite experience.More
Beautiful setting Food excellent, this was our first Michelin Star restaurant and we were impressed with the food and portions (3 courses and not over full but satisfied). Owner is lovely and very helpful with the menu (translation). Price wise the food is slightly more...expensive than other places around however it was worth the difference. Everything we ate pleased us and we wish them all the best for the future.More
We came here because the i salti was recently awarded its first star - and we were staying nearby. The drive was a bit of an adventure (tiny road, only very few signs indicating where to go), and the restaurant is lost in the middle...of the countryside. The service was great, the food was amazing, the location very cute with few tables, and the wine selection excellent (and surprisingly enough not very pricey). Only comment: Reserve well in advance to get a table - definitely worth trying if you're in the area.More
