Lunch menu is great, at an honest price: EUR 50,00 per person (3 courses, dessert included) for a great meal! Everything served was fantastic, a must go!

Wow what a lovely find !!! That goes for the hotel too !! Dinner here was superb. The very best ingredients, well prepared, truly excellent. Very good staff, good sommelier which is so important, their assistance with wine choices to compliment the menu. A very good experience. Very well deserved two Michelin stars.

Our first experience with the Chapeau Rouge was in the early 1980's when we stayed at the hotel while waiting to commence a barge trip from Dole, the birthplace of Louis Pasteur. The hotel was comfortable- However this about the restaurant. The food was typically Burgundian-- The then owner was a celebrated chef and food critic and I still have his recipe... More

We live on a barge traveling the rivers and canals of France 6 months a year. We have eaten at some of the finest restaurants France has to offer. We continue to return to the restaurant at Chapeau Rouge for it is without question our favorite of all the restaurants we have eaten at. Ambience is peaceful and the tables... More

Our friend took us there and said this is the best restaurant in Dijon. It is excellent restaurant indeed. The wine is well recommended, not very famous Maison, but very good white wine and red wine. Service is very good. It's worth to try at Dijon.

We chose to come to Restaurant William Frachot for our anniversary dinner and it was a very good choice. The food was excellent in taste and in presentation. The atmosphere was modern, spacious yet cosy. However the best part of the dining experience was the staff. Very professional yet friendly, they were polite, helpful and managed to make us feel... This is a star-quality place for sure. The interior and decoration were not our thing but it is the food that counts and there we can be brief, it was excellent. We had the "menu de Bourgogne". A very nice makeover of the classical Bourgogne-specialities: cuisses de grenouille, boeuf Meurette, boeuf bourguignon etc. The sommelier gave us some good advice... More

Food, wine (and wine glasses), service, ambiance, everything was rather disappointing. I am VERY surprised that they are a Michelin 2 Stars restaurant. Though price of the tasting menu (€145) is not as high as other Micheline 2 Stars restaurants we’ve been to in other cities (Paris, Reims, London, San Francisco Bay Area and Tokyo). FOOD: We did tasting menu.... More

My 4th visit - this hotel is in the centre and easy to walk from to some of the main attractions. Our stopover on the journey back to the UK from the South of France.. Hotel is very elegant, bedroom and bathroom modern and very spacious. Staff very attentive. Wonderful breakfast. My only feedback is that the hotel staff could... More
