But today it has a mediocre kitchen without creativity, but expensive. A pity, because the surroundings still have a certain charm and it has a central location.

Last Tuesday in St Malo was cold...very cold. O degrees perhaps. We chose to eat inside the restaurant instead of the covered terrace extension outside. It is January after all. However, all the doors to the restaurant were left open and within a short time, the interior also became very cold. Diners were wearing their coats and jackets whilst eating!... More

excellent, service could not be better and I am not easily satisfied. The food is really gorgeous, started with the Seafood Plate and then the recommendation of the chef. Excellent.

We dined here at the start of December to celebrate my wife birthday. Having been to St Malo many times I've always wanted to try it. We were both highly impressed. The menu encompassed set price menu's and a la carte so there is plenty of choice but not so much as to be overwhelming. The waiting staff were friendly... More

We always stop here for lunch on the way back to UK, catching the ferry in the evening The staff are always attentive, the food is excellent, good choice of wine I love eating here as it always feels like an occasion with the perfect service No worries about the food, excellent every time I can't wait until we visit... I was reluctant to go for a meal here having had some fantastic meals over many years and having seen that it has changed hands and some mixed reviews. On a Wednesday evening in October a lot of restaurants were closed and we decided that the 35 euro menu looked good value. Overall the food was very good, the service... More

Four of us enjoyed a great meal here. We chose the 35 euro menu and I had the mackerel followed by the lamb with a red saumur champigny to accompany. Watch out for the gin and tonic aperatifs which can be exceptionally pricey and not good valu. Stick to the kir vin blanc which was delicious. The waiter was attentive... More

This place has a long-term excellent reputation, but i think its been bought out (or refurbished) recently and looking for its feet. If you're willing to pay you will get a 4 star service and food quality!

Although we hadn't booked, we were offered a table immediately inside the restaurant. The waiters were friendly and professional and the menu was excellent. Many diners enjoyed the lobster and were offered little bibs so as not to get food over their clothes - a lovely detail. We really enjoyed our dinner and found the ambience good too.

Now it's the place to avoid. I had some wonderful meals here in the past and had not been for around three years. The place is living on its reputation. The food is poor, the service OK but hardly professional, the wine list good but expensive. There are dozens of better restaurants within the walls where you will not spend... More
