Busy buzzy restaurant even at 7pm. Friendly and speedy service. My wife loved her pizza and my pasta was delicious. We shared a litre carafe of full bodied and fruity merlot, costing only 11 euros!!! Actually,I must change my rating from very good to excellent ........ cannot fault it .

Looking at the range of reviews, maybe we were lucky, however we ate here three times (for lunch, main and wine) when on holiday last year and the food was always excellent and service good. We are returning to Dinan for just short of two weeks this year (2017) and will visit La Lumachelle again.

We arrived at 7:30 on the Tuesday after Christmas, a slow night in rural France, and asked for a table for three, and was told they were booked even though the restaurant had only 1 couple dining in. I then said we'd like to do pizza take out and the waiter acted as if we were really putting him out.... More

Really atmospheric restaurant tucked away from the road to the canal in a cobble street oozing charm. Specialising in Italian food there is a wood fired Pizza oven that fills the air with a delicious smell. Steaks highly recommended, especially the Angus brevet! Pizza's also highly recommended. The staff have varying levels of English, however you are in France and... More

The restaurant was very busy when we went in for lunch but we were served promptly and efficiently. We ordered tartare de boeuf and brochette St Jacques. Both dishes were excellent so all in all we had a very enjoyable visit.

We were looking for somewhere to eat where we could have a few starters as opposed to a full meal.. came across restaurant en route back to out hotel .. The restaurant advertises itself as a pizzeria but it is more than that ..we did not have a full meal just a variety of staters and a carafe of wine... More

Service beyond terrible. If you have 6 hours for lunch and accept being treated like dirt give it a go. Oh and if you like the smell of urinals as your eating your lunch u will love it.

After dining at this restaurant on several occasions over the last 8 years that we have owned our holiday house in dinan - before we had our daughter, we have always found the service not to be great and there to be an underlying smell from the toilet through out the restaurant. However tonight with friends we arrived at the... More

We actually visited this restaurant only because nothing else was open!! Don't know why as it was very busy for a Wednesday night in October. We thought it was mainly a pizza restaurant but found a fantastic menu inside. Their signature dish is actually fish and chips! My husband had the fish which was breaded and soo fresh and i... More

We knew what to expect from the other reviews regarding service and were not disappointed. The waitress it has to be said was rushing around so allowances made but even so there was no engagement at any point. We both ordered pizza with a side salad - pizzas were tasty but the salad only arrived 2/3rds of the way through... More
